I have finally constructed a complex underground bunker in Smyrna, Tn. I have it established with massive reinforcement concrete supported by the natural rock sides for added strength and created a similar air outlet as depicted on Hitler's secret bunker...I have stored massive amounts of ordinance, rifles, shotguns, molatovs, and enough ammo stored in 6 - 55 gallon airtight drums with an estimation of 430,000 rounds of .223/5.56mm ammo, 100,000 rounds of various pistol ammo, 5,000 rounds of buckshot...a massive water container with a purification system...now that I'm caught crank-yanking you, I have a question about dry goods? I heard dry rice and dry beans have no expiration because they last almost forever...Can this be true? I found some dry rice in the back of the pandry that I believe is years old and someone in my family told me it should still be good...fact, fiction, or it's hard to tell? Sorry about adding the intrique to get the attention, but you gotta admit it's a bland issue...
The end is near...eat the beans and rice... Wow, sounds like you got it figured out...Out of curisosity, how much does it cost to construct a bunker..$5K - $10K?
Here is everything you need to know about product expiration dates: http://www.med.nyu.edu/patientcare/patients/library/article.html?ChunkIID=42284
Yea, I am. I'm getting it professionally built though. There are some sweet setups on this site: http://www.treehouse-company.com/index.cfm I'm planning on making it a reading/internet room. Only thing I am concerned about is critters and safety in a general aspect. I'll have to get some reinforced doors inside, and some sort of collapsable ladder/entrance way for one way access.
Cool!...If you have kids, they will love it as well, I'm sure! thanks everyone for letting me know on my question
Have you tested the radon level in your bunker? Word has it that radon generated from massive stock of munitions can be very lethal. It can possibly get you before terrorists do.
i'm not sure it's a great idea to publish this for the rest of the world to read. do we have any ATF agents among us?
Nothing illegal at all unless I avoid the paperwork (NFA tax stamp) for the short barreled carbine or machine gun...machine guns are overrated anyway. I rented an MP-5 and was not impressed with the climb...[short bursts are all you can really do for accuracy/control] semi-auto is in many instances better - especially when using low recoil rifle rounds.
When you run out of supplies and are forced to emerge into the post-apocalyptic world, make sure to look for Vault 13.. you can find a GECK there
