I heard Frenchy's has some of the best chicken in town. I just saw one off of Kirby, so I might try it out tonight. Your thoughts?
Frenchy's is great....but if you are going to get it then go to the Original one in 3rd Ward (off Scott & Wheeler, next to Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church). The other locations don't compare. Now you will have to wait around 40 minutes to get your food, no matter what time you go, walk up or drive-through....
Anyone tried the one by UH on Wheeler/Scott? It's right behind Subway. I've always wanted to try that place but never had the chance cus someone I'm with always ends up wanting to go to Subway instead.
Isn't that like walking distance from you? Hey we all should try that place sometime after we ball. Is it greasy like Popeyes?
3 wings, 2 legs/thighs, drink, and dirty rice/fries http://frenchyschicken.com/ this is the best fried chicken i have ever had
$5 give or take and its not greasy. If you go to the Scott location the chicken is always fresh. When you bite into it the skin doesn't peel off like chicken that has been sitting out. They have really good sides like greens, red beans & rice, gumbo, etoufee, potato salad........I think I'm eating Frenchy's tonight.
My best friend lives in Waco and whenever I go there thats all I eat! Its soooooooooooooooooooooooo GOOD!
Went to the one by UoH quite a few times(wheeler and scott is it?)...it's pretty freaking good. Greasy as hell, but good.
It's greasy and delicious. Icehouse is 100% right....go to the original. Best fried chicken in Houston. I love it...can only eat it very occasionally now.
Just got the King special, and it had 3 wings, and the other 2 were like oversize wings, Didn't see a leg and a thigh... unless that what is was. But they look like wings to me. Think they jipped me, cause it was so busy. Had to wait around 20-25 mins in the drive-thru. But overall the flavor in the fries was tasty, and the chicken was really good too.
