Speaking of BBQ, I'd be interested in finding a good place for a BBQ Spud (Baked Potato). So far, I like Charlie's Barbeque off of Bissonnet and 610 area. They have a thick sauce and it goes perfect with the potato.

Its been many years but there used to be a place in Tomball who had the best Chicked Fried Steak, but for the life of me I cant remember what it is.

Babins is good for fried shrimp, but Pappas is a close second

Ninfas on navigation has the bext fajitas

    Becks has the best burgers

and of course JCI has the bext chili dogs :D

Been to the BBQ Hut. Right there next to the train tracks?

They have good sausage and baked potatoes.

Hickory Hollow in Magnolia has good BBQ too.

Answer to both is yes. That place is a major landmark in Tomball. I doubt you would ever see it go away.

Pappy's makes my favorite CFS in the city. I had one at Goodsons a year ago and it was not all that I had been lead to believe.

I went to this excellent Dim Sum place in Houston once called "Ocean Palace".....was just like the experience in Hong Kong itself.....huge dining hall on the second floor with dozens of food carts rolling by.....it was somewhere in Chinatown on Bellaire I think...

Agree w/ pradaxpimp on Alexander's (near the Galleria mall) for Greek, but I for Japanese there was this place far down on Westheimer in little Japantown called Nara's....I would definitely return there....

Other good places of note in Houston,

    Brownstone
    Churrascos (Argentine)
    Tony's
    Cafe Annie
    Garson (Persian)
    Marine's (Empanadas)
    Pappas Steakhouse
