I got mine today. I hate the myth that people think the flu shot can actually give you the flu. I believe in flu shots, they have worked for me so far, knock on wood.

It may be a myth, but I know the last time I got a shot I got really sick soon afterwards.

I haven't had a flu shot in the last 8-10 years either... Haven't been sick since... Of course, I have a superior immune system.[IMG]

Why would you want to raise your cholesterol??

I got mine 2 weeks ago. This was the first time I ever got it. I have a very busy schedule this year and did not want to take any chances :D

I had gotten one every year but stopped last year. I did get a cold, but nothing major. I figure in my prime years there's no reason to get one. I see a need for those at risk, though - young children and the elderly.

Wimps. Getting a flu shot is like walking around with an umbrella. Real men get wet and sick.

If Ma Nature wants some of me, she better come with everything she's got.

Last time I had the flu I thought I was gonna die. My bones ached, I was feverishly hot one minute and unstoppably shivering the next.

Good luck tough guys but how about thinking about who ever has to take care of your sickass.

It's $25, you don't feel a thing. I was a little achey the night after I had mine this year but only asprin achy and I woke up fine. (myth or not that's what happened to me)

Well, technically, you actually are given the flu with the shot, cept it's a dying one?

In the last 25 years I have had exactly 2 flu shots. Both of those times I got the flu (not from the shot). The other 23 years I have had no problems. Needless to say, once again I will not be getting a flu shot.

well with the vaccine, you're given the dead virus...so it's not even slightly alive. can't get it from that. It's the nasal spray that's "dying" that you're referring to...or weakened I think is what they used to call it at least.
