An in-depth study of his AEIOU tells me McCoy is due for a bounce-back season. ;)

Nothing brings out the haters like college football.

This is going to be a curb stompping display of defense on the part of my Longhoorns.

I'm pretty sure most bars will be showing the game. Texas-Exes is going to watch the game at Lucky's but I'm kinda relunctant to go because not only will there be a ton of people there, I believe there's a Stros game which will making parking a huge hassle.

I might go to Texadelphia. Lucky Pub is also next to Warehouse Live so the parking is going to be crazy.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Texas could be really good this season. The o-line should be improved, so Colt won't have to run for his life, where he made the vast majority of his mistakes last season. I like the combo of McGee and Fozzy at RB, they compliment each other well, and should be a very good tandem. If Muschamp can do what think he can with the defense, the front seven could be downright scary, this is a team that could surprise people and win the Big XII.

Of course, they could also bomb and go 8-4 like rodrick said.

I have a feeling that the secondary is going to get lit up. If Texas is going to win this game, they are going to have to score a lot of points.

    prediction

    45-35 Texas

i dont think there going to have a problem winning this game. but there is going to be a blowout this year probably against UT and it would most likely be against OU or Tech.

and i also think the longhorns are going to be the aggies pretty soundly.

    we will see :D

UT going to STOMP FAU. Schnellenberger is a moron. WTF was he thinking calling the UT players soft? Revenge is a dish best served with a 70-3 a**-stomping.

I was invited to the game by Fred Akers to take a tour and watch warmups from the field. However, my wfe had bought me tickets back on Father's Day for today's Astros game.

Texas is due for a down year. Their roster is full of unproven talent. At least I'm going into the season with the lowest expectations I've had in years.

    Rationalization...it's a helluva drug.

Ut's down year was last year. They have a better defensive coordinator on board and Colt should benefit with Major being there.

Defense is what to watch for.....how much difference is Muschamp's attacking style going to help?

    I think a lot....

UT may surprise a lot of people this year and make a run at 10 or 11 wins.

I'll be there, and I'll be most interested in a few things:

    1) How will the defense look, namely all the freshman playing at safety positions?

    2) Will we get to see any of the "Q" package, where Colt and Chiles get on the field at the same time with some interchangeability. Furthermore, will Chiles play any WR?

    3) Along those same lines, who will get the PT at the 3rd wr slot since that is typically Texas' base formation.

    4) Can Colt play a "clean" game, moving the chains and making plays WITHOUT turning the ball over multiple times?

All in all, I'm excited, and cautiously optimistic that we'll get a good test but nothing too scary. However, there are a LOT of questions to be answered, and hopefully today will start to answer them.
