I have sold several tickets on FLASHSEATS.com and they charge a 5% selling fee and another fee but is it true that when you BUY at Flashseat they charge you a 20% BUYING FEE?? wtf Venue: Toyota Center Location: Houston, TX Seats Purchased: Section Row Seat Number Face Value Amount 103 14 14 $70.00 $111.25 103 14 15 $70.00 $111.25 Sub Total: $222.50 Buyer Connection Fee: 20% of the purchase price plus a $1.50 charge per ticket. $47.50 Sales Tax on Fee: 8.25% of Connection Fee. $3.92 Total Due: $273.92 ---- from a friend of mine
yeah, it's kinda stupid. i wish we could "screw" flash seats by having people email you, and then exchange cash for tickets by transfering them. it cuts out the middle dude.
You can transfer them instead of sell them. Just click on the transfer button and use paypal or cash or something.
Flash seats sucks big time....they charge you wayyyyyy to damn much for buying tickets from them. It's ridiculous.
5% for selling and 20% for purchasing is insane. Flashseats overall is bull****. Now the rockets always have control of the tickets. There is no hard copy, so you have no choice BUT to sell tickets through the Rockets.
Not entirely on topic, but another reason that Flash Seats sucks is that Kim Son has a 20% off deal when you bring in your Rockets game ticket on the night of a game...so with Flash Seats you can't go before the game because you have no ticket yet. My dad and I used to do that pretty often, but not anymore, I guess.
I love flashseats and I have never been charged any fee for selling. Through the sales of my season tickets over the past year I have made enough to re-invest in next years tickets and pay half of my balance already. Those two Lakers games were some big sales.
they've only recently been charging me the fee, cause i sold some Boston Tickets and there was no fee. I sold tickets to game 3 and there was no fee. and now there are fees. they charged me a fee for game three, and then took it back, and some dude from flash seats called me back. the only thing that sucks is that it takes ten years for flashseats to deposit money to your account. 7-10 days my ass. wtf are you guys doig the 1-6 days? are you ****ing lazy? are you slow or some ****? maybe some dude in India or Malaysia or Quezon City can do it faster. sheeeeeeeeet man.
lol well its the easiest way for us to make money tho as a seller. i mean what else can you do? no more scalping at the games which sucks big time . and ppl on craigslist are too eff'in shady!
As a season ticket holder we have used flash seats all season long...selling tickets or using it to go to the games. Never have we been charged a fee to sell tickets...including tonight's game...no fee. And, the amount of the sale has been immediately deposited into our flashseat account. I do not know what the fees are for the buyers, but if the amount is outrageous, maybe a call to flashseats is advisable to be sure a mistake has not been made. They will be happy to address any concerns you may have. To contact Flash Seats customer service, call 888-415-SEAT (7328).
I'm not sure I get this Flashseat thing. I know for sure their are "hard copies." Why can't you scalp no more?
you can scalp, but most of us are rockets insiders, that way we actually get playoff tickets, and if you buy through presale or online for the most part, you get flash tickets. and those arent copies
You recieve a mini ticket at the door when your ID is scanned. The mini ticket looks like the original STH's ticket, but just is a hand size ticket. Each FlashSeat account has an ID on file...it can be a Driver's License or Credit Card. The Toyota Center has a FlashSeats entrance line where your ID is scanned. Onced scanned, the scanner then prints out a mini ticket and you proceed to your purchased seat. Instead of selling your tickets to a scalping agency, the STH becomes the scalper.
Not always, sometimes a STH takes a lost, breaks even, or doesn't make a sell...then they eat it. Not all games attract buyers. I have been doing this all season long...I have knowledge about the system astro. We attended 66 percent of the games and the others we put up on FlashSeats...some sold, some did not. However, most of ours sold...we had three games when we were sick that did not.
lol i scalped tickets all last season, but i like actually attending the games n scalping, oh gosh i made a killing. and esp if you stand by that hotel they have by the rox arena, those stupid old white guys were giving me there club level seats for a couple of beers lol. oh gawd lol
