Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Bulls signed rookie forward Marcus Fizer to an undisclosed contract Tuesday. Fizer was Chicago's first pick in the draft and fourth overall selection. The 6-foot-9, 262-pounder left Iowa State as the school's fifth all-time leading scorer with 1,830 points. Last season Fizer averaged 22.8 points and 7.7 rebounds to lead Iowa State (32-5) to its first Elite Eight appearance since 1944. "Marcus Fizer is an exciting prospect and we look forward to seeing him grow as a player in our system," said Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations Jerry Krause. Over his final two seasons, Fizer averaged 20.6 points and 7.7 rebounds to lead Iowa State in both categories.
