Well, no more Fizer trade scenarios . . .

    <a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/news/2000/09/26/bulls_fizer_ap/">Oh well</a>

I wonder if there ever was a Drew + stuff deal for Fizer on the table . . . Now what happens to Drew?

Most we will get is 2nd round pick. I would like to trade him as far away from his home just to make him suffer. Lets ship his ass up to Vancouver for a future second round pick.

But if we can't get a draft pick, maybe Rudy could swing some beer for the team? Or just for himself, we don't the Rockets out there playing drunk. On the other hand though, if Bullard gets some beer into him maybe he'll play a little better...

    Make him suffer for what?
It's not Bryce's fault Rudy and CD took him over Rashard. He's done what's been asked of him without any complaint or whining. There is no reason to be vindictive against Drew (other than the fact that he took Matt Maloney's roster spot)

Also, Vancouver is a real threat to the Rockets now with Swift on board. Why trade him to a division rival where he could potentially come back to bite the Rockets in the butt? Trade him to Miami or some other Eastern team.

Why send him to Miami, one of the greatest places. Miami is not a place for drew, he will be having too much fun there.

Drew. What to do with Drew? What a great question. You see, if Francis hadn't landed here Drew would probably be the starting pg here. Have you seen his numbers when he was starting? He was pretty impressive. He drove to the hoop and created some weird shots, kind of like Hornacek. And that clutch Valpraiso shot!! OMG!! I think it won an ESPY or something. Did you know the rockets could have gotten Lewis instead? Yeah I know. I have a friend who plays like Drew. He sucks.

    Let's waive his ass!!

Not only have the Drew bashers crossed the line, but they've sprinted a couple of miles beyond it.

He'll be a fine second unit SG. When (and if) Houston trades for or drafts an inside presence, they will need Drew's outside shooting to complement the inside game.

Inside presence?! That's right. Even one of the most successful guard-oriented offenses needed inside help: Detroit - Dantley, Aguirre, and Edwards.

too bad Houston already has their guard positions stacked WITHOUT having Drew. Houston needs his roster spot to develop some big guys. Already have enough shooters too : Francis, Mobes, SA, Bullard, Wiz, Lanky. The inside out game as the focus of the offense attack is gone. It's drive and dish now.

Drew isn't half the guard any of the Detroit ones were.

It's stupid to waive him. How long do you think guys like Tim Hardaway will last? Even healthy PGs go down with freak injuries. Wait until there is a market for Drew and the price goes up. Instead of a 2nd round pick, you get a 1st rounder. Or you force someone to take Drew and Rogers and get a quality bench guy.

The Rockets can get something for Drew if they're patient.

Francis and Mobley will probably not play in the game at the same time. SA is in-consistent from the perimeter. Williams will be gone at the latest after next season. Langhi plays SF (not SG). Bullard or Drew? I'd rather have Drew.

    C Cato, Olajuwon
    PF Taylor, Collier
    SF Langhi
    SG Anderson, Mobley, Drew
    PG Francis

That leaves Bullard, Norris, Rogers, Thomas, and Williams.

How do you figure? They are one of, if not the best backcourt tandem in the league! We'll be seeing alot of Francis and Mobley playing together.

just because Drew is a pg that plays like a sg it does not make him a sg. Drew is not good as a sg. And he does not have that good of a shot anyway. If kept on the roster, Drew would see NO time at all unless injuries kick in. What is the point in keeping him then? The guard positions are all locked up, for years to come. The Rockets need to save the roster spot to develop a big man.

I doubt the rockets will use the IR spots unless the players are really injured. So expect a 12 man roster, one that doesn't include Drew.

Bob-o, I hope you are right about Rudy waiting till he comes back, cuz Drew needs to be gone.

6 or 7 yrs ago I would have gone nuts over a pt. guard w/Drews potential, specially with the kind of system we had employed at the time, unfortunately for Drew, it was a matter of wrong timing. Not his fault.

I hope we NEVER have to see it, but if Steve, Cat, Mooch, or SA is injured - I'll take Drew over Fizer at the PG/SG ANY TIME.

IMHO, we never needed Fizer in the first place (can you say Mo, KT, 'Los, Bull and Collier). Remember, KT got him thrown out of their RMR game.

We need Drew for insurance and if he walks next year, he was worth more than his salary for the season.
