I'm wondering how the rotation is going to work once Cato makes it back. I'm assuming he still plans on playing in the Dec 16 home game vs Denver. I would think his minutes will be limited until he can get his conditioning back. In any case, it'll be good to get another big body back in the lineup. Old School ------------------ I voted YES!
I imagine the bulk of his playing time will come from the minutes that Collier, Pig and Rogers are currently getting.

Until we figure out what to do with Olajuwon he's going to get very limited minutes. Not only will the rocks be showcasing Dream for a possible trade, but as you know, it's a slow process. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
I would rather see him fitted on to some other team's roster. ------------------ "We make a lot, but we spend a lot." Patrick Ewing, alumnus, Georgetown University
Personally I liked his play the first games he played in before the injury(hussle hussle, he cared)...say what you will but Cato is something many teams miss and desperatly want....he has showed signs of growing...give him a chance... ------------------
I dont think it will take Cato real long to get his conditioning back. He is after all, already athletic, and it was stated that he was workin out and doing exercises while he was out. I think the main concern is gettin him accustomed to the offensive sets, as well as defensive sets, and that should take some time. ------------------ da ability to focus attention on important things is a defining characteristic of intelligence - alaskanSnowman
Digaida, 1.) Cato played in a grand total of TWO games before he was injured. In reality, he only played in ONE complete game. He was injured after only playing 3 minutes in the second game. In the one game he did play, we lost. 2.) In the first game, he had 9 points (good), 3 rebounds (not so good), 0 assists (no big deal), 0 steals (he's not Hakeem), 1 block (okay, decent), 0 turnovers (good), 4 fouls (bad), all in 22 minutes (limited due to foul trouble). 3.) Okay, maybe you're thinking of the pre-season games.....wrong. Cato's numbers for the entire pre-season: PTS - 5.57 (Not good, but we don't need him to score a lot) FG% - .600 (good, but he averaged just over 3 shots a game) FT% - .643 (no big deal) REB - 4.29 (ummm, what league was he going to lead?) AST - 0.14 (he's not the PG, but this is Dare-esque) STL - 1.14 (good) BLK - 2.00 (very nice) TOs - 0.71 (amazing....) PFs - 3.29 (this is why he couldn't contribute more) MIN - 19.71 (Due to his foul trouble) --------------------- We will be a better team when Cato comes back, no doubt. But, I believe he'll hurt us more than help us until he gets back into playing shape and gets comfortable with the offense, and his team mates. We will be better, because we'll be deeper, not because some phenomenon-like starting center will all of the sudden play 40+ minutes and amaze us with his skills. ------------------ "I have a DREAM.........his name's Hakeem." You are the best scooper on the board. I used you as an anecdote for fun to bash Cato. Here's a smiley for ya:
