That's a decent deal if you're looking to try it out.

Avoid the PT session, it's just a sales pitch.

And I'm sure the tanning costs extra.

From browsing the longer deal description it looks like the tanning ($20 monthly value) and all the various group fitness classes are unlimited and free with the trial.

Exercise would be a doubly efficient venture if people could split into two halves and have both body sections burn calories simultaneously by riding a tandem bike. Today's Groupon works out your fitness while maintaining your monoist identity. For $75, you get a two-month, all-access membership with optional tanning and a personal training session (a $265 value) at FIT Athletic Club on West Gray Street near the River Oaks Shopping Center.

A two-month, all-access membership at FIT provides a bevy of options for fledgling fitness-seekers and seasoned sportfolk alike. All access means just what it sounds like; waltz on in to any of the available classes, which include a diverse spectrum of muscle molders, including yoga and Pilates, martial arts, cycling, and GroupX classes that feature a mélange of fitness techniques. One personal training session (a $75 value) with a fitness expert adds a sense of structure to the membership, as the trainers are experts at gently pushing trainees just outside of their pillowy comfort zones.

Embarking on a fitness routine is a daunting affair. Today's Groupon offers a chance to begin the crusade with the help of expert trainers and a great facility, all without the tiresome business of fighting in chainmail. Along with FIT's classes, you'll have access to its upper-echelon fitness equipment. Recently, its entire cardio section was revamped, with more than 30 pieces of cutting-edge equipment added. Tanning (regular value of $20 per month) is also available for anyone who wants to brown his or her pelt for hunting season.

I use to have a relative who was a PT here, and she said that she's seen Vince Young, Mutombo, and Robert Horry working out here. (Also had an unusual encounter with Robert Horry while she was there).

Very upscale place, I think the normal monthly fee is somewhere around $80 and the equipment is superb.

That's pretty crazy. I wonder how they don't have so many people tanning it would gum up the lines?
