just got a craving for some fish tacos. what are some good, quick, and cheap places to get some fish tacos for lunch? the obvious is berryhill but that place is way overpriced for what you get.

I don't think Cabo is so cheap for what you get?
    Anywho....
I know Taco El Rey on Shepherd and Washington have EXCELLENT fish tacos and fairly cheap. Try the plantains as well!:)

Sounds good to me. Should I do Wahoo's or Rubio's for lunch? (Folks in So Cal will know what I mean).

On a related note, do you prefer grilled or fried fish tacos?

The two quintessential fish taco's are:

Grilled: Cabo's-be sure and put their signature sauce on them.

Fried: Berryhill's fish taco's-best in town, bar none. Try to go to their Revere address, if possible.

Sweet, I'm not the only one with a 8th grade mentality.

Whenever I hear the phrase "fish taco" or see it on a menu, I always chuckle.

    Will I ever grow up?

Yeah, there's this mexican food place in Las Vegas' HardRock that is called "The Pink Taco".

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that pun out. (Quite good for a non-texas Tex-Mex place, BTW)

Here some less frequented places that are good.

The first, C. Lantros is a Mexican/Carribean order at teh counter kind of place. I remmeber their fish tacos being decent, but everything else there is also ok - their queso is really good. Go anytime....they are rarely crowded. Located across from Biba's and Otto's on Memorial at Asbury (Westcott area).

The second is actually a Smoothie Island on Woodway near Chimeny Rock. I used to just get the smoothies, but they have really good healthy tasting food (pitas, tuna salad sandwhiches, etc.). It's not on their normal menu, but everytime I go they've had it written up as a special - a California fish pita that is really good.

    Those are my ideas.

The Berryhill's near me offers $1.99 fish tacos on Mondays. So I hold off on my fish taco fix until Mondays.

Nope. I was gonna say "I usually ask my girlfriend to open her legs" but I really didn't want a bunch of internet people asking her to do the same when their fish taco cravings arise. She'd be all like "WTF?". Plus she'd probably get mad for calling her quick and cheap. I can ONLY say that during role playing nowadays. :)

    I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys 'R' Us kid.

El Pueblito on Richmond has excellent fish tacos. Order off of the ala carte menu on the back of the menu. I think they are like $1.99 a piece.

I haven't been there in a while; are ridiculously large boob jobs still a prerequisite for employment?

Honestly, it took me an hour to summon up the courage to open this thread up at work today.
