Batman is Revealed in EW!! Source: Mean Gene Thursday, April 29, 2004 'Mean Gene' sent us this black & white scan of Entertainment Weekly's exclusive look at Christian Bale as Batman in Batman Begins. The picture is said to be included in the new issue hitting stands tomorrow. We're working on getting a color version of the picture for you, so stay tuned. http://www.superherohype.com/batman/index.php?id=1295 Couldn't get the pic to work, just click on the link.
Yeah, Christopher Nolan is directing. This is a black and white scan of tomorrow's issue of Entertainment Weekly, which will have the pic in color.
Here's a link to the color higher res version now. http://superherohype.com/cgi-bin/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Batman/The_Movie/Movie_Stills&image=batmanew.jpg&img=&tt=
Anti: the insignia's there, but just barely. I understand what they're going for with this functional, 'realistic' look, but I can't say I like it. The cowl looks fine and I'm glad he's got the 'spikes' on his gloves (in earlier versions he didn't), but I hate the subtlety of the insignia. Also not crazy about the suit being all one color or about the broach looking things that attach the cape. Bale looks good in the cowl though. There are rumors that WB might be posting another, more official pic over the weekend at the official site.
You know, I got the latest Entertainment Weekly today, and I cannot find this image in there anywhere.
i read somewhere that katie holmes is offered a role in the movie. is it true and will she get bat nekkid?
I'm sure she won't be naked, but Katie Holmes has been cast in the Batman movie, as I understand it. By the way, I now know why I couldn't find the picture in the Entertainment Weekly that came yesterday. That was just the Summer Movie preview. I got this week's EW in the mail today. I've never before received two different EWs on consecutive days, though.
Full cast and crew as it's known now: http://batman-on-film.com/castandcrew.html The costume's really growing on me. I love the brooding pose.
Yeah, dark is the way to go. They messed everything up so bad in the Shumacher ones. It was all about actions figures. No style, no substance. Just frillys. This looks definitely darker and much more true to the comic. Anyone read Year One?
