First Round is fluid

    Here's what ESPN has to say:

    ===

    Phoenix Suns GM Bryan Colangelo said he's trying to get the No. 6 pick from Cleveland in exchange for the No. 9 pick. Cleveland owes Phoenix a future first-round pick and Colangelo is trying to get it in this draft. He is also willing to see if he could get No. 6, keep the No. 9 and give the Cavs the Suns' No. 22. Colangelo wants either Chris Wilcox or Nikoloz Tskitishvili. He knows Tskitishvili could go to the Nuggets at No. 5, meaning he could take Wilcox at No. 6. The Cavs covet Caron Butler and he would likely be available at No. 9 because the Knicks (No. 7) and Clippers (No. 8) aren't interested in Butler. If Phoenix stays at No. 9 and Wilcox and Tskitishvili are gone, they'll pick Jared Jeffries.

    ====

    All this tells me is that nothing is set in stone this draft, except Ming and Williams. I don't recall a draft this fluid in a long time, if ever. It strengthens my suspicion/hope that Rudy and CD are up to something and that all of the GM's are blowing smoke.

    I think there's a lot of misdirection going on among GS, Mem, Den and Cle, in particular. West is trying to see if he can trickf__ St Jean into passing on Dunleavy and taking Tskita. The only person that CLE hasn't been associated with is Tskits, so I'm guessing that's who they really want. Denver is so incompetent that nobody is trying to trick them.

    That said, I hope we get Woods or Butler with 15, 37 and/or whatever else.

    Well, if they do end up swapping picks, hopefully the Rockets can somehow trade up with the Clippers for the #8 pick and draft Butler before the Cavs can get him.

    Completely agree. I'd trade 15,37 and any or all of KT, Rice, Norris, Morris and Collier for Caron Butler.

    He is going to be the best player in this draft.

    Looks like the Cavs, Grizz and Clippers are all looking to possibly move picks or move down. The question is, can the Rockets package #15, #37 and a player (KT or Morris or Cato or any combination) to move up perhaps to the #6 slot that the Cavs have. Maybe that is why they are working out Hilario and Wilcox?
