http://www.thezreview.co.uk/news2/news1027.htm No, this isn't from American Psycho BTW, the car he is driving is a Lamborghini MurciƩlago, which somebody reminded me is a spanish word for Bat.
...er I'm not saying he's hot, but he definitely as the right look to be Bruce Wayne, moreso than the others...
Pretty boy? Uh, are you implying that Bale is a sissy compared to Keaton? Bale is 6' 2", he's got 4 inches on Keaton and he's actually going to be inshape and look like he could be Batman. You should withhold judgement for when the movie comes out.
Bateman will do well as Batman. Err... I mean Bale. Right. Who would go buy hair conditioner because of American Psycho. That would be weird.
That second photo is another positive sign about this movie. As "Wayne" the character is supposed to play the part of the rich playboy. Looks like they didn't forget that angle.
I never thought I would like anyone better than Keaton as Batman, but I'm convinced I will find Bale superior. He has this unbelievablly understated, quiet intensity about him that was on full display in American Psycho and that I will transfer quite successfully to the Bruce Wayne character. I mean, this is a guy with a lot of built up rage underneath the skin that he unleashes on the bad guys as Batman, he shouldn't be a happy go lucky jokester outside of his batsuit.
Bale's good at being violently insane, which Batman is. I hate to be a dork, but I'm kinda looking forward to this movie.
Yeah, Laurel Canyon just wasn't that good. Kate Beckinsale was smoking, though. There's some action movie Bale was in that was OK, Equilibrium, with some interesting sword and gun play. spoilers about American Psycho... Did he just imagine all the killings or did he imagine that the killings didn't happen.
Nomar, Thanks for the tip. I never read the book, so I wasn't sure what I was supposed to believe at the end, not sure if a re watching would reveal what I missed the first time.
One thing that stood out in addition to the gore, the prostitutes in American Psycho were just as skanky as the ones on Cops.
I actually preferred his diatribe on Huey Lewis and the News' "Sport", specifically the track Hip to be Square (I believe it was, I'll have to check back on the DVD). For any of you who think he's too much of a "pretty boy" to do action, check out the little seen sci-fi flick Equilibrium. Totally overshadowed by, but in my opinion better than, The Matrix, Bale kicks all kinds of ass in that movie. Plus it shows him being cold, emotionless and analytical, much like Batman himself.
