first person shooter game suggestions

    guys I am stuck at home and bored everyday

    was hoping to find a single player first person shooter game. Nothing like CS that requires other to play together. Just a single player 1st person shooter game with like levels or missions. Was hopping the game was not too new as my computer is about 3 years old and probably can not run any high demanding games.

    Have you tried half life / half life 2? Counterstrike comes from the Half life engine, but it's a single player game.

    The Black Ops campaign was great, but the only drawback is that it was very short. I know the main focus point of the game is the online multiplayer, but I was still surprised at how short it was.

    FYI, I am in Christchurch...my office is flattened, to be honest, I want to go back to work, but the whole CBD is closed off.

    Don't mind him.

    If you have a PS2, the first Killzone and Black were two of my favorite shooters. Both can be found used for relatively cheap, at least here in the States.

    If you've never played the original Deus Ex, go buy the game of the year edition now. Best single-player FPS ever (imo), you will not be disappointed and it should run easily on your computer since it came out in 2000.
