Also, a tip for advertising might be to use Google Adwords or Facebook to advertise to people in Austin, TX. You pay per click and your budget can be as low as $50/month.

I am not a Horn fan...so there isn't much on there for me yet.

One thing you might consider is making some sizes larger than XL.

You can charge extra...fat people like me are used to paying extra...but I couldn't even squeeze into an XL....

 

Great to see a new business go up from a fellow CFer, especially a website.

However, I think you should have a more visually appealing and professional web design personally in order to establish some credibility.

Hey I have a pretty good shirt idea sitting in my head. Its real good actually. Lemme know if interested. Seriously, its good. Prototypes exist.

 

A business will always make it or not based on it's marketing plan. I don't know if you have a plan put together but based on your product, it looks like you could do very well with the OU shirt at the very least. I see those shirts being a big hit with any school, especially UT, that plays OU in any sport or is within the Big 12 conference. So, what you need to do, is do exactly what you did on this site except on UT, OSU, Tech sports/almuni/student websites. Get your product out there. You can make some serious flow the next several years selling shirts like that. Feel free to contact me down the road for a cash donation when you make it big
Now get out there and market the **** out of those shirts and watch the money come pooring in! Good luck.

 

You should talk to the owners of hornfans.com and shaggybevo.com and orangebloods.com and try to sell your UT gear over there...

Readers of UT message boards will obviously be diehard UT fans and the type of customers you are looking for - then relying on their word of mouth to bring in more clientele

When are you coming out with more shirts?

I would have advised to have at least about 20-30 shirts before launching, but I like where you are going, nonetheless. Just try to get some new ones on board as soon as you can. More options = more buyers...so as it is now, if someone goes on the site, sees 8 shirts, and isnt immediately drawn to anything, then there is a good chance they never go back to the website. But if they go to the site and see a big collection of shirts, they may not buy immediately, but at least the site would be more legit in their minds...and the chances of returning to it would be greater.

Do you have any interest to take on a freelance designer? I always wanted to design tshirts and will gladly do them for you for free (as long as I get credited for the design of course). I have plenty of ideas for clutchfans themed shirts that i think would sell pretty well. I would also do tshirts for other NBA teams and market it through not only your website but also their fan forums as well.
