I know I know, why the hell would ya need firewood in Houston in Nov, but I have a solid reason - we have no heat. It is in the process of being fixed, which is taking forever, and our house seems to just retain coldness. The wife is b****in' so I thought I would try to warm her up some with a fire. The problem is I can't find any firewood - Kroger, Walmart, Home Depot..no dice and the usual road-side sellers haven't appeared yet

    any other suggestions?

and no I'm not buying an ax before you state the obvious :)

Wow, I didnt even notice it. It seems like it took me 2 years to get the first grand but maybe 6 months to get the next. I do post a whole lot more than I used too.

Ha, beavers, thats awesome. I wish I had thought of that.

You really can't find any firewood? If you're desperate, go to the Kroger on Antoine and Tidwell. I just bought a pack of 15 good sized pieces for 9.99 and there's a huge pile in front of the store. I mean HUGE. They're not going to run out any time soon.

I use my fireplace anytime it get's below 80 degrees. It's pretty damn relaxing. Plus, I'm a pyromaniac.

    When necessary, share bodily warmth.

(bonus marks for anyone who identifies that movie).
