Well just as I expected, the rockets went back to playing street ball once again. What amazed me was Rudy T talking about how the team seems to play better when Yao touches the ball. HMMMM...is he just figuring this out now???? Seriously, sounded to be like he has just made some kind of genius discovery that any moderate fan could have said about 7 weeks ago. Even though MO Taylor had a good game and got the ball as much as he did, I think that it has become very apparent that teams have figured out how to beat the rockets. Make Yao miss a couple of shots, after that he is completely taken out of the game by the rockets offense and one person on or some times two people on the team run iso's for most of the game. That works for a while but it takes EVERY ONE on the team out of the game and out of sink. So when at the end of the game the adjustment is made to FORCE the ball out of the hands of the player (mostly Francis and Mobley) the other players no longer have a feel for the game thus turn over/ missed shots occur. When the offense runs through Yao, every player has a chance to get involved and if the ball get's passed around the team usually gets a good open shot. Some days the team will not hit the open shot, that is fine. I think every one is willing to live with that. It's the way they play and lose is what is extremely frustrating. STREET BALL DOES NOT WORK IN THE LONG RUN!!! I am no basketball expert but that is pretty easy to figure out. Either Rudy needs to go or one of the guards, selfish players rarely change there mentality. Being young and making mistakes is one thing, playing selfish is another. That excuse has no merit any more. They play within the "game plan" for a couple of games, and as I expected they went back to playing selfish ball again. It's sad when you can predict a loss to the cavs. no excuses, they need to make a change and make the playoffs this year because they will be giving up a lottery pick(grizz have the rockets pick regardless of what it is) along with not making the playoffs. There is still time to make a change and save the season.
