You can’t fire Caley and Slowik without firing QB coach too. He’s been working with CJ for three years and it’s been three regression years. He’s been with CJ since he was 16. CJ won’t like it and that sends a message to him. Fire the bum!
If they want to bring back Caley (which I'm OK with), replacing Johnson with a seasoned QB coach who could help Caley would be a viable path. Also, Johnson was not Caley's guy - let Caley get someone in the room he knows and trusts.
I agree with this if Caley is gone Johnson should be too. If they keep Caley Johnson should be gone and the entire offensive staff.
honest question. what exactly is he teaching/showing CJ? or is it on CJ where he listens in one ear and it goes out the other? why isn't CJ throwing the ball away or throw it at players' feet when nothing is there? why are his deep throws are so underthrown? why is CJ not using his check downs more? why are his sideline throws so bad where it's no where near the outside shoulder? CJ regressed so much it's a major concern.
Why the **** is Jerrod Johnson still employed? CJ's regression is proof that he sucks at his job. What was his preparation with CJ? Besides handing CJ the red rubber band to warm up for another turnover, what the **** does he even do? Texans should get rid of that clown and find a vet qb coach over the age of 50
