Does anyone know if you have to have a landline to have your fire alarm monitored? And if so, what would be the cheapest option? I don't have a landline...only use cell.

    Thanks.

From what I heard if you don't have a phoen line you alarms will never notify the police or fire.

Well I have something called a cell-net for regular alarm, but was told it wouldn't work for fire....didn't know why exactly...maybe too much liability if the fire is actually where the cell-net box is located???

I'd like to avoid getting a phone line only for fire alarms if possible, though.
