In December I lowered my season goal to just making the playoffs. I still think it's possible, just not probable. My new goal is to just finish above 500. This may spoil the party for those wanting to go lotto. Personally, I think the experience gained from coming from so far down would be crucial. That experience is something you could never gain from a player in the draft. It's kinda like in 93 when the team finally realised that they were winners. They accepted the team philosophy and they trusted each other because they fought wars together and they knew each other's game. That was the team that proved that teamwork on offense and defense is more valuable than lots of raw talent. 1 superstar and a lot of role players is all we had. Teamwork and unity is what defined them at the time. So my question is what do you think would be better for the team? A) Confidence from coming back from being 14 games below 500, proving to themselves that they are on the right track to being a great team. B) Staying below 500 and getting more talent through the draft. I guess this question is pretty much similar to what Will is asking but with a different spin. (I choose A on Will's question, by the way.) Regardless of our record, I feel that we are close to being a solid, competitive team with high playoff hopes. Next year we will surprise them all.
