It might be specific ones. I remember calling in and checking before I went to make sure that department did it, and they told me to come in during a certain period of time on certain days (for public fingerprinting). i.e. something like Mondays and Wednesdays between 1 and 3 pm.

There are fingerprinting businesses around town. They charge like 5 USD.

They normally do it at Notary and Passport offices.

It depends on what you need them for. When I got them for my FFL, I had to get them done at a police department. I went to HPD downtown and it really wasn't too much hassle. But fingerprints from a notary or passport office wouldn't have been valid.

Its for a job, you should read and stop trying to make "funny comments" for rep...

Many state and federal jobs require fingerprinting.

I had to give my fingerprints when going to work for a bank. Don't ask how that worked out.
