Finally...someone giving Rockets respect

    Bill Simmons is a very funny man. He also seems to like the Rockets for this years playoffs--and AHEAD of the Suns, no less.

    Combine his first paragraph on the Rockets with his mention of Clyde's effect on the '95 squad (albeit while using Karl Malone on the Lakers as his comparison), and you've got a great read on the league by one of the few national sportswriters left who is as passionate about the NBA as us fans are:

    I remember the days when people around here hated Bill Simmons for saying this:

    One more thing: Years from now, we will remember "Yao Ming over Jay Williams" the same way we remember "Bowie over Jordan," "Traylor for Nowitzki," "Carroll for McHale and Parish," "Aguirre over Thomas" and every other great draft day blunder in NBA history. I'm not just predicting it, I'm guaranteeing it.

    yeah, but simmons later wrote a whole article apologizing for his stupidity and saying how much he loved Yao. And that guy LOVES Yao.
