IMO I would of kept Hawkins, from what Ive seen, he had the most promise.

I dont see why we didnt keep him...

Gaines getting ripped two times in a row = no handles

I agree. Forget about the guaranteed contract of Gaines. Put the best players on the team. I really liked Hawkin's size, passing skills, free throw shooting, & shooting skills (except for that last game). I sure hope this Barrett kid is worth it, & that Gaines will amount to more than just another Langhi/Boki.

Gaines and Nachbar should thank their lucky CBA's that their asses are still wearing red...

I don't see the point of eating Gaines contract to keep Hawkins who would be the fifteenth guy on the team. Why pay one of them to get lost in order to pay the other one to sit on the bench. If it was a difference-maker, then fine. But the chances of Hawkins cracking the lineup would be just above zero.

Gaines is in pretty much the same boat as Boki. They've both got a year or two to prove that they can play in the league.

...which will be damned hard to do from the bench, where they belong.

I suggest MS "Elegant Resume," guys. The "Contemporary Resume" just looks cheesy.

This group looks solid to me.

I wonder who gets sent to the inactive list once sura comes back? Obviously one of Spoon, Padgett, or Boki. My pick is Boki playing his way off the active roster by the time sura comes back.

I really think that we have a solid rosters. Although i'm a little sceptical on Boki Nachbars offseason performance.

In a way, your mom scares me.

    Just kidding. ;)

But seriously, that could be said for the Twolves, Spurs, Miami(especially), Lakers, and the prevous Shaq-Kobe Lakers too. When superstars go down, the roster is going to look thin.

Does Barrett really have a lot of upside? Otherwise, I'd say - waive him and get Bo Outlaw on board. Or, alternatively, trade a player for a 2nd round pick and get Bo Outlaw on board!

And I don't see the point of paying a gazzilion percent hotel and rental car tax when I am in Houston, while the Cheap b*stard is not putting the most capable bodies on the roster only to save money.

Look, if Hawkins was a difference maker then I'd say go ahead and cut Gaines. But since he's just benchwarmer, then one benchwarmer is as good as any other.

The "cheap b*stard" just signed a contract that pays one of our two franchise players about $ 22 million per year .

Maybe he won't get off the bench, but if he were to, based on their preseason performances, Hawkins would be able to contribute something. Gaines showed me nothing.
