    Well lets see the stats

Francis 22 points, 7-15.. Alot of his shots were attempts going for dunks on Mourning. Francis does that thing were he goes to the corner gets a pick and runs from the corner to the goal. But mourning who had 9 blocks tonight was dominanating. Francis did get probably 2 blocked, but no big block. He got a big block but it wasnt even a play, a foul was called before he got to the rim. But Steve played pretty nice, also had 6 assists. He was aggressive, he also did a GREATTTT BLOCK on MOURNING. Then when he was going for a highlight film, THunder majerle fouled him pretty hard, he grabbed him but it didnt look like he really wanted to do that. Francis got mad at him and shoved him off when getting up. I really understand francis for doing that, because he wants to dunk and ppl always grab him all hard when going up. That is not good to do. But after he got up ppl started booing francis because of doing that so francis walked by and apoligized to the idiot majerle. Majerle is known for his stuff like that. Also later in the game a couple of idiot fans were yelling " francis sucks" for a little bit. So francis crossed over walters and hit a shot in his eye and the sorry ass crowd got quiet.

Miami fans the stupid morons, francis comes in there wanting to show some action for the fans and the heat foul him on every nice move. They were lucky they saw someone that talented play on that court. [IMG]

Bryce Drew looks like he is coming along well. 4 points but played smart and thats what i like.

Kenny "Airball" Thomas , His shot is horrible now but he hustles well, REBOUNDS LIKE A MANIAC. Good player.

Walt Williams. He played really well, he had 17points with 2 blocks. Shot really well.

Cuttino Mobley, Kind of found the shot, shot less tonight, got like 12 points.

Rogers wasnt effective tonight, he had 7 but only played 18 minutes.

Bullard with 3 points, guess what he did to get that shot. He shot a 3!!. 1-6 tonight, he cant start rudy, get that through your drunk head..J/k [IMG].

Shandon Anderson was great tonight.. Played agressive , shot tonight 9 shots and made 6. Had 17 points. Really well, I loved the way he played. He should be the second option.

Pig Miller came in and well he was exactly like last year, he sucked. But ill give him time , he could do something.. (Yeah Right)

    NOW THE WORST FOR LAST!!!!

THOMAS THE FAT , 2 SANDWICHES HAMILTON!!!!
7 points for him, 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. 2-7 from the field and 3-3 from the line.

Might sound good for him but who cares. This guy was getting killed by mourning. Not like I am expecting him to stop him but at least make him for shots. ALL mourning did was runn in and dunk it on him. I think they did that like 5 times in a row. Then hamilton got blocked a couple times by mourning. I think he should get waived off the team when hakeem gets back because this guy clearly has no basketball skills but he could become a wrestler, A SUMO WRESTLER.. [IMG]

I didnt like alot of things i saw tonight, but the comeback at the end was pretty nice, seeing the guys want to do something was good. I think if walt would of taken the last couple of shots we would of brought the lead to like 5, WALT WAS ON FIRE!

OHH ONE MORE THING, Calvin wasnt here tonight because he was sick at home, Soar throat or something. Guess he now finally can shut his big mouth. j/k calvin is cool.

But the other with Bill was umm a little weird. First of all, he would say all this about how hamilton is a great BALL HANDLER!!!! Come on are you blind. Then he said, " Hamilton is pretty athletic". Man..

    Alot of other dumb comments.

    So thats about it ..

Another loss for the Houston Rockets...

10-22.. Looking good baby, maybe we can get KENYON MARTIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    In Thomas Hamilton's defense...
it was Mourning. Mourning is too fast for Hamilton. Rudy sent him to the slaughterhouse. Two Sandwiches should never be on the court with an athletic center who will press his advantage.

Personal experience. I am 5'7, but have Barkley type dimisions. I have a friend, D, that is 6'1 about the same weight as me. We were playing against a team with a 6'3 big boy. D never guarded him because physically impossible for him to do so. I kept big boy form getting too low and D came over to double. Result: we lost because D's man hit jumpers, but we stayed in the game with a chance to win. Moral of the story: next day, we win 5 games in a row to hold court milking D's finesse game down low.

Hamilton will be useful against Ostertag, Austin, Smits, Shaq, Reeves. He is a role player. I don't think the inability to stop Mourning should be a case to waive a player. Now, if this happens against Little Country, yeah waive him. How many players would have been waived because they couldn't guard MJ without fouling in the new no contact NBA?

Mike Newlin has probably played more basketball than you have ever watched.

Mango, was that some kind of counter-argument? I swear I'm sick of having to read people insult others whose position they do not agree with. Personally, I think Joe Joe has a point. If Cato had played, we would still have lost and Mourning would still have gotten his. That's why he's a superstar. I think JJ's right that Hamilton has a niche on this team -- the niche is not guarding Mourning but we were in a pinch and he did what he could. If we cut him, we won't have any stud centers to take his roster spot; they're playing for other teams.

    JuanValdez,

My post was not directed at the post from Joe Joe, but at the post that started this thread.

Mike Newlin was the substitute color man for Murph on the telecast. He was a respectable NBA player and has been considered knowledgeable enough to appear on at least one local radio show from time to time. Seems like he has also appeared as a guest on at least one Rockets post-game show.

Counter-argument? I expressed what I felt to be a statement of fact. One does not make it to the NBA without spending an inordinate amount of time playing basketball.

Yes, you probably see me post quite often as the person taking a diferent viewpoint from someone else. When I do post like that, I have done some fact checking to verify that my position is correct and the other person is wrong.. I can appreciate people not being happy with having their opinion skewered. However, if I fail to correct something that I know is obviously wrong, then I have let myself down.

I'm a believer in Hamilton. He's a role player now, but will be much more than that in years to come. Rudy didn't sign him to a 10 day contract, but instead, he was signed for 2 whole years. That alone tells you that something is in the works. Something more than just a role player. He was brought in to make an impact. He thinks the game. And that's half the battle. Now he's got to hit the training room.

In the few games I've seen, he showed a great deal of promise. But I'll admit, I haven't seen him play lately.
