I need a good program for transferring files pc to pc ? I tried ICQ and and it would crash on me after a few minutes, so then I tried some program named FileShooter and it also crashed. So I ended up using Yahoo messenger.It worked but it was slow as hell.Both pc's are on dsl and it took several hours to transfer a 400mb file. Seems like a direct connection with 2 pc's 100 miles away would be faster ? Anyone know of something faster I could try next time ? __________________
if they're physically located near eachother, try a crossover cable for direct connection. if not, and you're running windows xp, it has a built in ftp server. or maybe kazaa with a wickedly weird filename, so no one else can grab your file?
