Anyone know anything about these file delivery service for corporate use (25-30 users)? How secure are they? Personal experience using these services in a work environment, etc?
I dont know how secure they are, but I think sendspace did have a download limit placed on their items. Something like 7 days or 125 grabs. Most of those sites have too many pop ups or adspace on the page to make me trust them, and I'm assuming the majority of their usage is for some sort of piracy. You might want to try an online storage site? I used to use xdrive and that satisfied me, though security was not a top priority for me.
Yousendit used to have a secure transfer thing that you could pay for. My company used it for a while. Not sure if they still offer it.
I don't know how secure this would make it, but why not compress the file(s) into a ZIP/RAR file and password protect it?
It would have to be a pretty long password. There's quite a few brute force programs out there targetted for rar/zip.
i use YouSendIt occasionally, and have never had a problem with it. the link is good for 7 days, i believe. it's free, and it's dependable.
Yep, I've had good experiences with Yousendit as well. It's dependable and I haven't had any problems so far...
I like Accellion www.accellion.com for corporate use - without question they are secure - they are used by many big companies but they also offer packages for 25 users. Free services like Yousendit, Sharefile are good for sending personal stuff but if you are worried about security you get what you pay for.
