Reminds me of Uncle Buck, when he's trying to get the washing machine going. And he's hitting it, and yelling at it. The neighbour walks in and thinks he's raping someone. Hehehe.
My neighbors called the cops on me for possible domestic disturbance during the 1996 Texas/Texas A&M game. Of course I lived by myself in my parent's house as a 2nd year law student. Apparently I left the kitchen window open a small crack and my neighbors heard me screaming profanities regarding tackling and knocking their heads off. The cops knocked on my door and asked if they could come in. I shouldve challenged their authority and asked them for a search warrant or something but I was more confused than anything until I found out later why they came over. The fact the place was a total mess with my bed in the living room (so I could watch TV on a big screen while lying down) made it look even more suspicious.
Trying to get off of something you didn't even do with a technicallity when the truth could set you free? You sound like you're a lawyer.
Why? They're trying to do their job, and I believe that more people and police are killed during domestic disturbances than any other. Why not let them be done with you and off on the next call?
I know this might sound foreign to you but when youre sitting there watching football and the cops come knocking on your door, you're caught off guard - which I was. Only after did they complete the search, did they tell me why they came over. They just told me the neighbors complained which was not a good enough excuse in my opinion to search the whole house. Also, if you voluntarily let them in, you lose a lot of your legal rights that would otherwise have to be obtained through the legal system.
Ahh...that brings me back to those weekends in college I spent cussing out my computer, the programming language, and myself when I was stuck on a programing project. Good times!
