Well guess I am waiting until at least 2026 to go to a World Cup ... Was really hoping for England in 2018

... And why would anyone want to spend so much money to go vacation in Qatar in those temperatures? Horrible decision

I'm already gutted about England not getting 2018 and not having had a WC since 66 while Mexico and Germany have had TWO!!!

How, why, what way is the Quatar bid better than the US bid or Australian bid? Come the ***** on!

I'm done with this game. The f^cking politics!

130 degrees in the summer when the games are played.

Someone paid someone else off.....there is no doubt....Qatar now qualifies for the WC, and they have NO chance of getting there otherwise....

    Just amazing.

yes, as opposed to the US' history. Because it actually has one, dating back a long time.

To bad we didn't get it. But I think Russia is a good choice (I think they couldn't get it wrong with 2018). Qatar on the other hand, is just terrible.

With all the bribe scandals, Russia and Qatar are interesting choices.

Man it's FIFA, that part was never in doubt. FIFA just confirmed that.
    Just disgusted, absolutely disgusted.
The FIFA members showed their true colors all because of the English media.

    How!!!! Australia, USA--------------------Qatar????

The US has qualified for the past 6 World Cup (once as the host), won their regional tournament multiple times, and has been ranked in the top 10 by FIFA. Yeah, I'd say they have a slightly better pedigree than Qatar.

 Now it's about "temperatures"? What football history? Please don't tell me they thought about that when choosing Japan/Korea and you were happy with it.

Qatar and any other small country with a good promise and optimistic young delegation deserves a chance. By 2022, they'll be on time. I bet you anything people will be amazed by their progress and by them being such good hosts.

Why are people who wished it was the USA so upset ? Dudes, let other parts of the world have their fun, too.

6 straight World Cups. A semifinal and quarterfinal appearance.

How many WC's has Qatar been to?
