T-mac news for the information starved http://blogs.chron.com/nba/ Lock it if I just missed it somewhere...
It would be nice to get good news regarding injuries for once. That is Leeb's prediction, I said that he might be a lot further along than the organization was letting on....which, seems to be the case. Tmac's injury was not all that serious.....and others have come back from microfracture earlier than expected with a similar injury...Stockton for instance....so....maybe our luck is turning around. The Tmac Theory DD
Surprised he can come back so fast, what kind surgery did he get? I thought those kind would take a long time to heal. Also, I think Kenyon Martin came back too early after similar surgery and was forced to stay out longer.
Hi, DD. You know how I feel about everybody playing nice here.... Even if we assume that Tracy McGrady's microfracture surgery was not a very "serious" procedure (and all indications point to that being the case).... ...(and we've all done this dance before, about how injured McGrady really was, or how he may or may not have made a bad injury worse)... ...the fact that McGrady had to have the procedure at all is serious enough. I, for one, hope that the organization is as cautious with McGrady as they deem necessary. Overly cautious, even. If, by some miracle, McGrady is ready to go by...say...the first month or so of the season, and the team reverts too often into a stand-around-and-watch-McGrady mindset (especially to get wins....happened a bit before during The Streak)... ...then all of that postseason "success" will have meant little or nothing. It is good that McGrady is making such favorable progress. But the biggest adjustment McGrady will have to make will be in attitude and approach. I hope he does it...but we just have to wait and see...
Its not that it wasnt serious, it wasnt as serious as say amare, webber, or houston. On side not, grover pushing trcy is the same as him guardingDirk in the playoffs. I think and have maintained that tracy is a guy that needs to be constantly tested. I think it really helps him and his game when he has to play against top offensive players. He's just one of those guys that needs hurdles all the time because he can do so much. What am i saying? With the better offensive personel, i would like to see tracy go back to defending those top tier players at the wing. He's a really good defender when he wants to be and playing against the elite forces him to. I think shane is a crutch for him and he neds to get back defensively to the the level he was before shane.
I said it before, McGrady is going to have a good year and the Rockets are going to resign, 3 yrs/36 million. The would be foolish not to, no one else is going to be available; LeBron, D Wade, Dirk, Joe Johnson, etc. Welcome back T-Mac!!!!!!!
Amare was the same. It's certainly been a strange off-season. Morey keeps on dropping hints that they're shopping T-Mac but other GM's just aren't biting.
McGrady playing early in the year reduces his trade value, which is ironic to think of. His primary value at the moment is as an insured salary who has an expiring deal.
WOW. From Chuck Hayes supposedly hitting FREE THROWS to TMAC playing 5 on 5! That blog was music to my ears. Hell, it even sounded like Joey was being productive! This might be a fun team to watch this fall.
Its his contract year so he better produce. He's been way off his most productive years, shooting 30pct and taking well over 1000 shots. That's not going to make you 12M a year.
Great ****ing news! Props to Tracy for working so hard over the summer. Anyways here is some news I found. Breaking: Captain Jack wants out of Golden State Link
this is going to be the first year where our injured players do the right thing by coming back from an injury sometime during the season, rather than starting the season and breaking down towards the end. here's to hoping that luck is on our side this year! it always seemed to work out so well for shaq and the lakers/heat.
