This is an amazing serving clinic put on by these two guys. It's ridiculous! First serves in the 130's, second serves over 100 mph, aces and service winners all over the place!

    Crazy!

Vilas, Becker, Nastase, Connors in the audience (I guess Connors doesn't count since he's Roddick's coach), Agassi is doing some commentary with McEnroe and the other guy. :)

This is a great match!! Second set headed to a tie break, same as the first.

it is on USA, but roddick is probably going to collapse after two 7-6 losses.

Roddick has zero chance. It's as if Federer is just toying with him. They just trade service games and then Federer wins the tiebreak.

    Federer is just ridiculous.

That was a fast tiebreak! 7-6, 7-6 Federer......being down two sets to Federer is a death sentence like Agassi said.

I never cease to be amazed at how good this guy is. He's got no weaknesses on a fast court. He's only exposed, and only slightly, on clay.

    Unbelievable.

ya, the worst thing for roddick is having to play while federer is around, otherwise roddick prob dominates, no? i dont know that much about tennis, just seem to see roddick doing well all the time. am i wrong in saying that?

Roddick's shots have so much top spin they will bounce off Federer's racquet. If that were me, my wrist would be broken by now. I am betting on Roddick picking up his unforced errors and winning it. :)

Well, you have Nadal and Roddick, and also players like Djokovic, Davydenko, Nalbandian (when he's on, he's very difficult to beat), and even James Blake on the fringe. It surely would open up the field and we'd see a variety of champions in my opinion.

Nadal would probably have a lot more success if Federer was not around, as would Roddick. But Nadal, in my opinion, is not yet good enough on grass and hardcourts to dominate the circuit. In fact, he was upset yesterday by Ferrer.

Roddick is almost playing "great" right now. He's made a few ill-advised shots....but by and large, he should be winning a match if he plays at this high of a level.

Federer doesn't even have a coach. How many number 1 players throughout history have had no coach?

Alas.....twas not meant to be for Roddick tonight. Frankly, Roddick can look forward to many frustrating nights like this.

He's also such a nice, professional, and personable guy. You can try not to like him, but it's very difficult. He always seems very humble in victory and very complementary of his opponents, win or lose.

    Unreal.

Wow, they said Roddick had 24 unforced errors...thats incredible that he played so well and lost in straight sets...lol.

Federer is just sick. Dude is too good.

I typically root for underdogs...and when there is a team or player that is on top of the world, I grow to root against them...but I have the opposite feeling with Federer. He's a great guy and I always find myself hoping he wins. When he plays Nadal during any of the finals matches, Im completely split on who I want to win.
