9-3 would be great as far as im concerned...that would put us at 37-19 and in prime position for the 4-5 seed in the west. 11-1 is not TOOO far fetched during the month if we continue to play this way
I am going to go with 9-3 as well but i really need somebody to fill me in on yao's situation, i havent been on in a few weeks and i am confused as to when he is supposed to be back so if somebody knows when his current return date is set for plz post
Minnesota seems to have our number so that's a scary one and in no way a guaranteed win. Both Dallas games naturally are going to be tough. Shaq will probably be back for the Heat game and without Yao to make him look foolish I don't know about that one... So maybe we win a couple of those games but lose a couple shockers to the lesser teams? I'm saying 8/4 but i'd like to go 9/3. 10/2 or greater would just be... I don't know i can't even find a word.
8-4 seems realistic. 10-2 seems doable. Both would be fantastic in positioning ourselves for Yao's return for a playoff push. A lucky bounce here and there and we could go 11-1. Dallas and Miami seem like the only "tough" teams, although Minnesota does have our number as mentioned above.
Hey guys - Shameless plug but I've posted a game by game prediction contest on my website - FanIQ.com. FanIQ Houston Rockets Prediction Contest You have to register to enter. Mods -- if this is not allowed, please delete the post. Thanks!
10 - 2 or 9 - 3. We have a lot of pessimists here - remember that tough 7 game stretch we had where ppl predicted we would go 0-7, 1-6, or 2-5 etc? we actually went 4-3 in that stretch. I would say 9 - 3 is the 'realist's' record.
10-2 no doubt in my mind. I've posted it a few times now, but I'll say it again. The Rockets are going to be 40-18. After we beat the Spurs, I checked out our schedule and knew it then. If T-Mac doesn't have any back issues in this upcoming span, the Rockets will be 40-18.
I'd say we will achieve 9-3 or 10-2 as long as the Rockests keep their poise, follow JVG's plan completely and stay healthy(especially T-Mac). By far we have won most of the games we were supposed to win. We have played 44 games and IMO we only lost 2 games we weren't supposed to lose (@Blazers and hosting Nuggets), but they were made up by beating the Spurs twice in their house. I think the same thing could be happening in Febuary. It's highly possible we could beat Mavs at home and lose a sub 500 team unfortunately. But as long as this team stay health and mentally strong and the rhythm is not disrupted by the all-star break, there's nothing to get in the way for a great February run. Remeber we had 8-win streak before the all-star break two years ago? History will repeat itself because it's our time.
I'll say 9-3. Honestly, they can do better than that though. Every home game except maybe Dallas should be a win. Same goes for the road games.
I predict Yao returns for the Boston game. I say we go 10-2... We have 2 versus the Mavs and one against the Heat... I think we lose 2 of those 3.... You know why I hate the West? In today's chronicle: But we're the 5th seed in the West. Think about that for a second and how much it sucks. Only the powerhouses (DAL, SAS, PHO) have better records. That's how well we've been playing.
