Here's a brief break-down of the games: Sacramento It's tough to call this game because The Kings hammered the Rockets without Webber in Sac-Town. The Rockets came back to win a big one in Houston when the Kings had C-Webb. But I'll give Kings the benefit of the doubt. Even though Yao will likely explode on Yao Ming Celebriduck Day. Loss @Minnesota Don't get me wrong. T-Wolves are tough to beat at home. I guess just seeing the Rockets beat them up so bad gives some false security. Oh well, if I'm wrong, there could always be a chance we pull off the Kings game. Win @Cleveland I think everyone agrees that it's inexcusable to lose this game. No overtime, no down to the wire...Rockets need to win by 10+ points. And rest Yao and Steve. Win Utah Ugh. I hate the Jazz. So do the Rockets. Whoever posted the asinine "Stockton for Head Coach" idea was trippin on meth. We're at home, there's no storm like last time (damn HL&P, my TV went off)...Rockets should Win @Utah Why be depressed? I'll take the Jazz by 5 here so that if Houston suddenly pulls off the miracle, I will be the happiest man alive. Plus, the Rockets will all crumple to the floor holding their stomachs in the first quarter after seeing the Jazzies' ugly mugs for a second consecutive game. Loss Miami It's Valentine's Day, and what better gift to give then a Rockets win? Rox need to win against sucky Eastern teams. I don't want another Heat-OT game. Just take care of business. Win @LA Lakers Uh, yeah...can someone say Shaq-tastrophy? In The City of Angels, O'Neal will look like Satan in the eyes of Rockets fans. Angry and fired up, expect 35+ points. If Pos can hold down Bryant, Rockets may have a chance. Could they? Nah... Maybe... Loss @Phoenix This is my Upset Special of February. At PHX, a tough home floor...Rockets will pull off a V. And Yao goes right at Stoud. Who's Yao Daddy? Who's Yao Rook of da Year? The head-to-head will be fun to watch. Hopefully Yao is mean. Win Dallas Yeah right. Loss Memphis Wow, what a great future. They're already actually a good team. You've got Gooden, the 3rd best rook in the L, Battier, one of the smartest players, and one of my old faves, M-Dick (is he still playing?), who sadly we sacrificed to get some scrub named Steve Francis. H-Town has to win this. It's there time to show the world they can beat those mediocre teams of the NBA. Win @Boston The Celts were down to Detroit by 60 points tonight. Sixty points. We've shown we can beat Boston fairly soundly. Lock up Paul Pierce and the Little Mosquito (Bremer). Let Walker jack up his 67 shots a game. Just STAY ON PIERCE. Win @New York If there's any team the Rockets should want revenge from, it's the Knicks. Coming in our House and torching us. Man. MSG will be tough, but Spike and Stevie are cool. If Spike is cool with some of the away players, the electromagnetic forces of mojo are on the Rockets' side. Just don't blow it, Rocks. Give the ball to Yao, move, and let him show the geat city of New York what they're missing. Nothing like rubbing it in Big City faces. Win @Washington Posey vs. MJ will be good. I hope they guard each other. And even Stack vs. Cat. Look for Steve to play good for his grandma. And Moochie to play good for his groupies. Mooooooooch! A game-winning tre would be cool. Aw, screw it. Rockets by 8. Win. Check it. 34-24. It can happen. If we average 14 or less TO's in February, this is definitely possible.
You are way too confident. We usually lose to teams we shouldn't have lost i.e. NY, Memphis etc. Don't hold your hope too high.
Sacramento-Loss/25-21 @Minnesota-Loss/25-22 @Cleveland-Win/26-22 Utah-Loss/26-23 @Utah-Loss/26-24 Miami-Win/27-24 @Lakers-Loss/27-25 @Phoenix-Loss/27-26 Dallas-Loss/27-27 Memphis-Win/28-27 @Boston-Loss/28-28 @New York-Win/29-28 @Washington-Win/30-28 Thats my predictions bud... the bad teams seem to play extremely well against better teams this season. Those games against the teams under 500. will not be a walk in the park.
If the Rockets lose back-to-back games against Utah, I'm moving back to Australia, and becoming a fan of the Sydney Kings. F*** the Rockets if that happens...
Aww...they've learned their lesson about the NYK. They'll get that one. Memphis may not be easy, but we're not playing at the Pyramid. Come on, y'all. We had a great win tonight! Although apprehensive b/c of the letdown after the Laker game, I think Rudy lit a fire under their asses after the Dallas blowout. The guards are making a concerted effort to get the ball inside. Ready to Roll
Why do you say that? They are #1 in the league in assists. We are 27th, the last time I checked. We're a good team, but they're a smart verteran team. Their oldie but goldies. But I hope I'm wrong, i hope they're both wins. That's just my predictions.
that was one of the funniest things i've read on here in a while. especially the "F*** the rockets" line as if they've already done something wrong. classic ZRB. and HtownRocks3, if you knew how much ZRB (and most of this site) hates the spazz you know why he'd say that.
I doubt that Stack will be in his best playing condition when we play him; which makes our case to win that much higher. WASHINGTON -- Washington Wizards guard Jerry Stackhouse will miss the next two games because of a nagging groin injury. Stackhouse Stackhouse re-injured his left groin in a 97-90 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. He scored five points in 22 minutes before sitting down in the third quarter. "We have shut him down for the last two games, so he will not play until after the All-Star break,'' coach Doug Collins said Friday. Stackhouse, who leads Washington with 22.5 points per game, missed four games in January with the groin strain. He returned from the injury against New Orleans last week, but the comeback lasted only six games. Stackhouse will miss Saturday's game against New Orleans and Tuesday's game against Cleveland. The All-Star game is Feb. 9.
I can see us going 5-8, I can also see us going 9-4. That is what I hate about this Rocket team, when they play together they are really hard to beat, but when they play crappy they play REAL crappy. I mean before this spree of lost games, we were playing pretty decent. Consistency is 1 of our biggest problems, you never Know which team will show up. With that said they did seem like maybe they were about to break out of this funk last night, so I will be optimistic and say we have a winning Febuary ( I am not as confident as finalsbound).
ZRB - I'm with you mate. If we lose both games to the Utah Spazz, then throw another shrimp on the barbie and pass me a Foster's. I feel the same way about the Jazz that Doc Holiday (played by Val Kilmer in the movie Tombstone) felt about Johny Reno...."There's something about his eyes....Yep, I'm positive, I hate him!" I hope that Johnny Stockton suffers the same fate (in a basketball sense) as did Reno. According to Holiday, "the stress was more than he could bare." Hey Utah...I'm you're huckleberry!! I think the Rox will go 9-4 and get us right back to the 5th/6th seed where we belong!!
Hold on, weren't you supposed to be a Sonics fan after the Rockets got their asses handed to them by the Bulls last season?

While you're at it, if Rox sweep thru Utah B2B, what would Jazz, Wolves, Suns need to do to fall behind our local beloveds?
You gotta be crazy if you would have bet on the Rox week-end. It turned out better than the 2nd half against the Fresno Mavs.
Predictions just don't work out w/ this team. They lose to the sorry teams and they are ok w/ the good teams. Just have to see game by game.
