Did y'all hear Marc Jackson talking about when our guys humiliated his team, tying the record for 3 pointers in a game? What the heck happened since then? Around that same time, we humiliated a healthy Utah Jazz team by 45 points!! Man, that team was fun to watch. So much promise. Highest scoring team in the league. Youngest team in the league. We actually had legit swagger. We weren't the frontrunners, but teams knew who we were. Delfino...Parsons. Team seemed to have fun! Asik knocking down free throws when hacked by Oklahoma City. Seems like decades ago, but it was just three years ago. Feels like an opportunity squandered.
Difference, dumb@ss - this was three years ago & we had the same best player. I feel that something that f'd it all up was getting Dwight - it f'd up our identity. It didn't improve on our strengths. We had to start compromising our identity. We haven't had an identity since Dwight has been here. Also, Bleek, you are the sh#ttiest poster currently posting here. When you see a post of mine, do me a favor and ignore it and don't post in my threads.
Its not hard to figure out what the Rockets try and do on offense... and try and take that away as much as possible. Over 1-3 years, teams constantly have to try and evolve. You try doing the same thing over and over again, the league always catches on. Combine that with the lack of effort/intesnity/focus on defense, and this year is absolutely no surprise, regardless of talent.
I guess I am just warming up to DD's call for more shooters and more playmaking from the SF spot. We've got a bunch of defenders who don't defend. I don't necessarily disagree with the personnel choices of the last three years, but it did not work out and that should inform our decisions going forward. This team has no swagger and no fun. We need that

that team had a bunch of offensive players.. Parsons, Harden, Lin, Morris all could score and create their own shots. Omer gave you 10/10 almost every night. Now we just have Harden.. Ariza's shot is just about as inconsistent as Garcia's but with better D. Last year Jsmoove created off the bench and actually contributed, this year he has been terrible. We went from a run and gun team to a run and sometimes feed Dwight team. Lost a bunch of offensive players and have to rely completely on Harden on the offensive end to create. Run and gun teams usually do well in regular season and are fun to watch (Toronto is an example) but once playoffs start and everything becomes half court sets, these type of teams break down unless they have a good coach who can adjust. Toronto has lost in the first rd for the last 4 playoffs and possibly in this year's rd1 as well.
That was a fun team, but last couple years our team was immensely better. The only guys I'd like to have back from that team are Marcus Morris and Patrick Patterson. Maybe Lin too but not playing crunch time playoff minutes.
April 2013, we are eliminated in the first round of the playoffs why are we reminiscing about that season, the Warriors were not the same team, they added more talent and a better coach and their stars reached superstardoms Our talent all regressed, the role players that year didn't play defense either.
