Yes, it's time for me to make the dreaded trip to the DPS for a new DL..

Does anyone recommend a location that isn't as deadly of a wait as the bw8 location? I drove by Monday around 10 AM and the line was out the door wrapped around the building!

Any low-key, hidden locations would be appreciated...

    pray for me, friends

I'm assuming you can't renew it online?

Go there at about 7:30 and be one of the first few in line. At 10:30 is extremely late.

Why can't you renew it online? [IMG]

I love renewing online...still have a pic of me as a 17 year old on my DL but it's so worth not having to deal with that place.

Forget the DL, use the metro.

Save gas, save a tree, go green.

Yeah I need a replacement so I gotta go in person, in order to renew online you need to have your ID in your possession and enter some audit number off the front of it. fml

If you can renew in another county, the Alvin DSP location is never crowded.

I think it's better to take off early from work and go in the early afternoon. Last time I did it, I went an early afternoon thinking it was kind of backed up when it really wasn't. I left and showed up in the morning only to wait in a much longer line of people queueing before they opened. That didn't work out like I thought it would. Regardless, the wait didn't seem that long.

The truth is you never can tell how busy or unbusy those places will be at any time of the day. Just roll the dice.

    THAT'S WHAT they SAID...? :p

The one in Katy usually has little to no wait. It's in Downtown Katy and it's an old building. Try it.

If you're near the northside, the one in Conroe is worth the trek. I was in and out inside an hour.
