Cops only believe in Murphy's law, not common sense.

What happens if the kid doesn't get hurt? Nothing. Someones word vs someones word. That's the scary part.

Sad that this happened, but maybe this will make people realize police brutality can happen to anyone. Can't let the bad police officers hide behind the shield anymore.

    Sad story.

Random PSA: please don't quote dumbass trolls. They are likely on most people's ignore list and when you quote the dumbass trolls their dumbass trolling is shown to all.

    I hope the kid recovers.

I can't really tell what happened as this article is so obviously biased.

This does not bode well for the image of cops. When I was growing, cops were consider friendly, helpful and almost a hero figure.

Today, the image is completely different. They're viewed as overly paranoid jocks that just provide a necessarily service. But that service is often weighed against a sense of entitled authoritarianism.

Of course, not all cops are like that, but enough still holds the idea that they're the fine line between order and chaos... which may be true, but it would serve them better if many of them didn't act that way.

I don't believe things have necessarily changed as far as how many cops go overboard with authority. I think technology has just made it so we see EVERY instance of this happening now, because it gets posted on YouTube.

How many of these type of situations happened back in the 80s and 90s that never hit national news because no one was able to capture it on video? At that point it is just the cops word against the kids and that almost never works out for the kid. So it doesn't become news.

There were always ******* cops out there. Now it is much more likely they will be held accountable.
