Everyone post in here whatever players you think need adjustments, either up or down, you can list as many players as you want to from any team. I will review each one on an individual basis...
A couple guys who I noticed in my game... Eddie Griffin's shotblocking rating should be higher. He's already one of the best in the NBA. Kobe Bryant should be better from 3pt land and maybe as a jump shooter as well. Jason Kidd should be slightly better at inside scoring. If I can think of more, I'll let you know.
I have a few you could look into. I know how we're all hating on Kelvin Cato, but with the last few games he have had for the Rockets he can't be as bad as he is rated in the game AND have a D potential. Hell even Willis is rated better. haven already mentioned Griffin, but he also said in the chat that his outside shot should be better as he can shoot the 3 better than what the game has. Also look into Mo Taylor if you can raise his ability and/or potential just a tad.
Dion Glover (especially) and Dermarr have improved more this year than the ratings indicate. Ratliff in general seems a bit low. His rebounds especially seem low (although I know he shouldn't be in th A range). Shareef is a 10+ rpg guy and he only gets a C+ (no matter what you decide about Ratliff, Reef should definitely be higher).
Dirk Nowitzki is underrated in rebounding. He's among the league leaders at 9.4 a game, but he only gets a C+ in talent. Other players with similar rebounding production have a B in rebounding - like Antonio Davis and Shawn Marion. Also, Edjuardo Najera is a better rebounder than his C+ rating. He's playing half-time (23 minutes) and getting 6 boards a game - that translates into double figures if he played starter's minutes. Wang ZhiZhi has demonstrated a good touch from outside - shooting 43% right now from 3 point land. So he should be better than a D rating.
Turky should be better offensively. Kwame should be lowered a bit, but his potential should be raised. Szczerbiak should be raised offensively. David Robinson should be lowered. Tony Parker's potential at least should be raised. All for now.
Please review Lee Nailon. He is listed as all C's. But he is currently a starter for Charlotte and should be better than Bullard or Lynch which in the sim he is not. Also please review Kirk Haston Potential. He is only 22 and should be a good prospect for improvement. Thanks, CK
Marcus Fizer should be higher in rebounding than a C. He rebounds very hard, and almost always gets into double digit rebounds when given starters minutes. Fizer gets in real life about 5.5 rebounds in 25 minutes... as a starter, that would probably translate into about 8-8.5 rebounds per game in 35 minutes. That should warrant more than a C. Fizer's offensive shot also has some range, so he probably deserves more on the outside than a C. Closer to a C+ or a B-, I think. Michael Redd is also a rapidly improving player in real life for the Bucks... his potential should be much higher than a D.
I personally think all rating changes should wait until the season actually starts, based on the players' performances. These ratings are very weird and half of them don't seem to mean crap. Especially potential, where Jason Collier has B and Kenyon Martin has a C. The reason I believe these should wait until the season: it's hard to judge a players' ability by these weird letter ratings. Some of the players in this thread I am seeing requested to be made better are already ridiculously good in this game. Especially Kelvin Cato, Brad Miller and Marcus Fizer from the names I've seen in this thread. Despite Fizer's rebounding letter grade, he still averages 7.4 rpg in 29.5 mpg after a simmed season. After the sim starts, if a player is vastly underperforming his real life abilities, I vote then he should be upgraded.
Latrell Sprewell should be an "A" for outside shooting. If Alan Houston isn't an A+ outside shooter, I don't know who is.
Shane Battier's offense could be tweaked a little. I think Gasol's rebounding should be higher than a C. Hes currently 13th in the league. His handles are a little better than D+ also. I dont see a category for blocks, but hes pretty good at that too.
I agree with SF3. I'm going to wait until the season starts to see how these guys actually perform, and if they are off, then I'll ask for rating changes.
I think Alvin Williams should be a Better outside scorer and JYD a better inside scorer and Mo pete better all around
Rimmy, I admit I don't watch many Hawks games, but I don't see how Glover's ratings are off. I think his real life stats are pretty close to his ratings in this sim. What exactly do you not agree with for Glover? Also I feel the same way about Dermarr, keep in mind his potential rating is an A so his ratings should increase after a couple seasons. I did adjust SAR and Ratliff (also lowered Ratliff's jumpshooting)...
Hey Sammy, the reason for Dirk's low rebounding is because he has low offensive rebound ratings, that's probably due to his outside game. I'm going to leave that rating alone. I'll up his def rebounds just a little. Najera's now a B in rebounding. Wang's shooting has been adjusted a little also.
I think Joe Johson would must an A potential, and milt Palacio & Eric Williams maybe have a bit better out shot. Thats all, thx
C-Webb's rebounding ability should probably be a tad higher. Also, I think Peja's outside game warrants an "A" instead of the current "A-." That's all I can see right now.
