Sage is terrible. They realized this watching him practice and signed Favre.

They should just go with Tavaris Jackson.

Osteoporosis sets in when you're old.

The Vikings made a big mistake handing over starting QB duties to Favre when they traded for Sage and had invested some time with Tavaris. This situation will be akin to the one the Jets found themselves in this past offseason.

    1. Rent Favre
    2. Ride the experience for the year and hope to make the playoffs
    3. Don't make the playoffs
    4. Trade/Draft another QB

I hope Connor Barwin spears him right in the ribs tonight.

Think Brad Childress will take Favre out back and put him out of his misery? :)

I just enjoyed our fantasy draft yesterday in which everybody grabbed a backup QB, but no one touched Favre.

Don't feel bad for him at all - he's dicked over 3 franchises in the last 14 months.

Is a cracked rib even a big deal?

It is when DEs or anyone else coming on a blitz know about it.

If Akoye can get a good crack at him tonight he'll have justified his worth as a first round pick.

Favre's probably just faking it because "everyone knows he hates preseason". I really hope none of this adversely affects AP's career, the kid's too good to be mucked up by all this, especially when Tavaris was outplaying Favre by the end of last season.

Now Queen Favre has a built-in excuse every time he blows it with a stupid interception.

If it's on the same side as throwing arm, a gunslinger like Favre, I wonder if there'd be routine aggravation of any kind. Do you think he could relapse into his Vicodin addiction? Or his alcoholism?

I don't think he played GB though. They forced a decision from him then got some value right? Sure he pissed people off, but they didn't get owned by him. They could have either had him retired and gotten nothing, or gotten something for an overrated gunslinger (read:loser). He also didn't leave them in shambles, they had Rodgers in place and the team is fine.

NYJ were a bunch of idiots, but they too knew what they were getting into. Everyone knew it was a one year deal, and everyone but Jets management knew that Favre was going to be terrible.

The Vikings will be ruined, and thats entirely Childress' fault.

Don't get me wrong, I don't feel bad for Favre at all. Hope he gets destroyed tonight by the D line.

GB probably hates him the most. Minnesota plays the packers twice and most likely its part of the reason why Favre wanted to play there, not to mention GBs biggest rival in the league.

GB kept getting owned by Farve every offseason with his "will I won't I retire" crap. They finally blew a fuse last offseason and kicked Farve out the door.
