Only deal with top 40 country songs please. I love pat greene too, but....

What are your favorite country songs?

    Mine are:

    Amazed-Lone Star
    Unbroken-Tim McGraw
Live like you were dying-Tim Mcgraw
    That's my job-Conway Twitty
    Carried Away-George Strait
Pine Box-Doug Stone (truly an underappreciated performer)

I've got hundreds, and I could keep going, and probably will. Anyone else like this genre?

I know every one of those songs.. Good job!

(and, speaking of old, lest we forget Rhinestone Cowboy. This was my favourite song when I was 6 years old)

    Songs off of this list-

    Pinebox- Probably my favorite.
What Might Have Been - excellent

My favorite country artist would probably be Merle Haggard. Many good ones, but I really like Lonesome Fugitive.

    Some more great country songs:

Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie - Bellamy Bros.
The Ride - David Allen Coe
That's the Way Love Goes - Merle
Faded Love - Bob Wills (I love the Texas Swing music)
Marina Del Rey - George Strait
Seven Spanish Angels - Ray Charles and Willie Nelson

I guess that I could go on and on too.

Anyone and anything from Nashville sucks.
Their music is a oveproduced as a Nudie's sequined cowboy suit.

The only 'country' music I actually like is Dwight Yokam.

About 15 (or more) years ago, the Nashville suits decided to focus on a female demographic. As a result, they took the "o" out of country, making it "cuntry".

Redneck Yacht Club. I love it. The first time I heard it I thought it was a parody making fun but I was wrong.

I also like Queen of My Double Wide Trailer. So much infact, that I made my own version.

BTW, does anyone remember our very own Doug Supernaw?

He was a great talent until he became a total alcoholic. Now he can't sing a lick.

Is there a Wee Britain section of Bellaire we're not aware of?

    Turn in your Houstonian card.

I noticed the teeth. I figured it was due to the lack of quality dentists in the Bellaire area.
