Well within another month, my little baby is going to be a year old! It is hard to believe that Jake will be that old. It seemed like it was yesterday that I was asking for help with him as he was wearing me out in the beginning!

He is now 29 pounds and carefree and the ever jokester. Cocker spaniels (American, not English) are my favorite type of dogs although I wouldn't mind owning a rough collie or an old english sheepdog.

This picture was obviously like 7 or 8 months ago as Jake was still tiny. I love this picture as he is sitting there wondering why Rex (my parents' 7 year old cocker) is eating his food!

    What is your favorite purebreed?

My favorite breed of dogs would have to be Beagles. They're a lot of work in the beginning, but well worth it. Here are my two:

I'm with Harrisment here. I love beagles. My beagle is the friendliest dog I've ever come across.

I'd like to post a pic but I dont know how to do it. I could e-mail it to someone if they can put it up.

I have a Yorkie and a Westie, and now that I have a house, our next dog will be a Vizsla.

For both of your sakes, I sincerely hope she doesn't get one. Easily one of my least favorite dogs. I had a friend in high school who had one; I chased it down the block a good three dozen times. They never stop barking either.

I have a rottweiler/lab mix. Awesome dog; has the look to scare people away with a great personality.

After tonight and this summers Chilli Peppers concert, Snoop is my top dog. He's chill and he can rap.

    1. Ibizan Hound: long, athletic dog: I hope to get one of these dogs some day but they are pretty rare; I need a good jogging partner
    [IMG]

    2. Chihuahua: I gotta go with the dog I own. Definitely not the stereotype of a Chihuahua that I first thought of when my gf got the dog (not an ankle biter or excessive barker). My dog is completely devoted to me and follows me around and is currently laying at me feet.

    3. Boston Terrier: one of the friendliest and funny dogs in the world IMHO.

    4. Vizsla: great all around do-it-all kind of dog
    [IMG]

honorable mentions: Pharoah Hound, Australian Cattle Dog, Basenji, French Bulldog, Brittany, German Shorthaired Pointer

And worth mentioning is the mutt. These can be just of great as dogs as pure breeds.

Email me at jfyoung@charter.net and I can put it up - just make sure, JB, that you put "Beagle Pic" in the title of your email because of all these damn fake emails floating out there.
