    1. Homer Simpson. is there a greater character than Homer in tv history? he makes that show go and he has a list of one-liners and sayings that goes on forever (and we've used just about all of them on this site).

    2. Sam Malone - I love Cheers and he's the best character.

    3. Frasier Crane - from about his 2nd season on Cheers through about the first 5 or 6 on Frasier, he was absolutely great.

    4. i don't really have a thought out choice here but i'll put Cartman from south park as i am finally getting around to watching it more (and i just got seasons 1-3 from my friend), even though i've always thought it was hilarious when i would watch it. he's so damn funny and his voice is classic. "what's wrong with you cartman" "lets see, i hate you guys and you're hella stupid." his voice makes that line.

    1) Homer
    2) Tom & Jerry
    3) Stewie from Family Guy
    4) Jimmy James from News Radio
    5) Walker from Texas Rangers

Never really realized how much I like cartoons. I'm sure I'll think of plenty of others that I've forgotten as soon as I walk away from the computer.

Am I the only one here who can't stand Seinfeld or Cheers? I've never been able to sit through an entire episode of either.

There's tons more but these are the ones that immediately come to mind. I'm not even gonna mention Homer, because he's pretty much a given.

Not really a character in this sense but...Dave Atell from Insomniac. He's a character in his own right. :)
