I was just wondering who is the poster's favorite Rocket player from the current roster. I like Steve Francis because he is the Franchise. Here is my list in order: 1. Francis 2. Griffin 3. Mobley 4. Ming-until he proves himself 5. Taylor 6. Mooch 7. Thomas 8. Nachbar 9. Rice 10. Cato 11. Morris 12. Tierre Players that I hate: 1. Langhi 2. Collier Other than Larry Bird, no white man except Europeans can play basketball.
My favorite rockets player has to be Steve Francis b/c he has everything a coach, team and fans could ask for.
I like Steve Francis as #1 myself. Other whitemen that were overlooked are: Jerry West, Bob Cousie, and even though I don't like him - Bill Walton(the Portland years).
A-Franchise, Please study the history of basketball before making a statement that the only while "mand" who could play basketball was Larry Byrd. Pleassssssssssssse! Look at a list of NBA Allstars and you will see what I mean.
Kevin Mchale Pistol Pete Maravich Rudy T Jeff Hornacek Just to name a few........ My favorite Rockets... Francis....current Hakeem...all time
Rex Chapman Jon Barry Brent Barry Rick Barry Pistol Pete Walton Cousy Stockton Mullin LaFrentz Nash (Canadien not Euro) Paxson McHale Kerr Laimbeer Tomjanovich West Havlicek Hornacek Eaton Laettner Mike Miller Szczerbiak Van Horn Bradley (no not Shawn, Bill) I know I have left off a bunch too.
Although he hasn't proven himself yet, I have a feeling that Boki will be my fav. But currently my favorite is KT. He busts his butt everyday, but it seems like Rockets fans are the only people who have ever heard of him. Well, except for Shareef.
1. francis 2. mobley and griffin 3. the rest fall in based on how good they are. dream is and will be my all-time favorite player.
I agree Baseballa. I just love Kenny Thomas. He's eclipsed Mobley as my favorite. But I'm somewhat partial, because I had to play undersized, too. He is so fast and deceptively strong, very strong. He cannot be moved. Did you see him block that two-handed thunderjam attempt by Jermaine O'Neal. I'm telling you; Jermaine knows who he is too. Kenny plays almost perfect positional defense, front, backing, laterally and with the Malone-esque awesome swipe that won a game against the Grizzlies last second against SAR and Minnesota when he got Garnett at the end of the game on that...that was sweet. But my favorite Kenny moment was when he mercilessly abused Karl Malone trying to guard KT one-on-one, in a 4 possession sequence. KT backed him in and blew passed him to the rim. Next drove at him and spun to the lane for a right hook. Next drove at him and sput the baseline for a left hook. Then he blew passed him again to the rim. He had Karla spinning. I've never seen Maurice do that, and as much as I love Grif, he's a few yrs away from doing that.
A-Train you need to adjust the brightness knob on your black and white TV man. My favorite Rocket is Kenny T. I agree with all the points that HeyP made. I never thought Kenny got enough credit for his contribution last year. We had a terrible year but, if it were not for KT, it would have been worse.
