This thread is about pizza chains not these hole-in-the-wall places that hardly anyone has ever heard of. I know that those are the places that have the best pizza but I want to talk about places that everyone has heard of which are your chains. I ate at a Little Caesars yesterday for the first time in my life (yes, I know I have lived a sheltered life) and it was outstanding. Easily the best pizza from a chain I have eaten in my life. So, with everyone used to places like Pizza Hut and Papa John's as well as Dominoes, I was wondering how many people actually like those places? I tried coming up with as much variety as I could in the poll but if you choose other, explain what the place is and please refrain from picking hole-in-the-wall places that no one will know about.
I will also give a plug to Sbarro - great place to eat the NY style pizza. I always try eating at one when I go to a mall.
Papa Johns has superior pizza but I really love Pizza Hut's appetizers. Papa Johns bread sticks are very below average. Ideally, it would be Papa Johns pizza with some Pizza Hut breadsticks that come with Papa Johns garlic sauce.
Papa John's has my taste buds on lock down. Nothing else compares, especially when we're talking about the $5.99 large on Mondays.
Tony's New York Style Pizza on Jones Road. He is from New York and worked many years at a place in the Bronx then Manhatten. His pizza is awesome. When I was in NYC last year, I didnt find any other place that was better.......then again I didnt try all of them. My favorite Chain is Papa Johns.
Are you people serious? Papa Johns? I've eaten cardboard that tastes better. I'd rather eat Cici's than that crap. That little tub of lard they give you is so that you forget how terrible their crust and sauce taste. And they're responsible for those f***ing Jerry Jones dancing commercials. As far as national chains go, I voted "other". If any of you have tried Red Brick Pizza, you know how good it is. In Austin, for me it's Mangia, Austin's Pizza, or Saccaro's.
I personally like Pasta Hut. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/3145545/Pizza-Hut-to-become-Pasta-Hut.html
Since Pizza My Heart in California has multiple locations, I'm going with that. Out of the ones listed, I'd probably go Sbarro. I really don't like Pizza Hut, Dominoes or Papa John's. Candelari's is a chain here in town that's actually the closest to our house, so they may have my vote. The pesto with bacon is phenomenal.
um . . . no question . . . star pizza . . . don't know if two stores counts as a chain, but they've got the best pizza.
Is there really such a thing as bad pizza? I'd have to say no. Some are better than others, but I'd never turn down pizza from anywhere.
Paul's Pizza. They are down to one shop now across the street from Klein High School, but the pizzas are the best. Salad bar is really good too.
This is absolutely the best pizza. They used to have a branch in Alief by Albright Middle School and I would go every Tuesday after class. It gets no better than getting a pizza and adding the "Italian Crust Seasoning."
I do believe we're serious, and personally I don't use the "tub of lard" you're referring to. Each slice tastes awesome all by itself.
