A post from another thread gave me the idea for this, as I've always felt there is a connection between these 3 works of art from different genres (being that each represents the longer work- novels as opposed to short stories, films as opposed to TV shows, and CDs as opposed to individual songs). You all can answer #3 however you want- my intention was for these to be the original studio recordings as opposed to greatest hits CDs, but if you really feel that the greatest hits CD is a work in itself or clearly defines said group more than any of their original recordings (e.g. CCR's Chronicle, The Ramones Mania, as those bands are often viewed as great "singles" bands), then that's cool. It'd be really cool to see a lot of responses for #3 to be the original studio albums, as I think greatest hits are sorta easy to put as a favorite. I use the word Album to stand for the music aspect, whether you have it as a download, CD, or cassette (ancient), or record (ditto). But you can call it CD, recording, etc. My 3: Novel: The Grapes of Wrath Film: Taxi Driver Album/CD: Born To Run (BTW, apologize for all the posts in the last 2 days. Have a rare 3 days off, been going through my entire collection of DVDs, CDs, and novels, and just a lot of ideas as far as favorites, comparisons, etc.)
not sure if there is a connection... but... novel: Atlas Shrugged film: Das weiße Band album: This Will Destroy You's eponymous
Novel: Une Vie Film: Fantastic Planet Album: Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. Although I can't help but feel that this is the kind of thing that would change for me from day to day.
Have the same reservations as Apps (my favorites change from time to time) Novel: Catch-22 Film: Network Album: Raising Hell
Book: Notes From Underground Movie: Braveheart Song/Album: Appetite for Destruction by GnR. Maybe the greatest debut album from any band of all time.

Novel: Shadow of the Wind Film: High Fidelity Album: Changes too much from day to day to answer My top novel is pretty locked in, although I might pick Wonder Boys or About a Boy as my favorite film on another day. I listen to different music almost every day, and I don't think I could ever pick a definitive favorite.
My book and album change from time to time. The movie is always the same. Film - This is Spinal Tap Novel - The Beautiful and Damned Album - The Clash - London Calling All of the futants answers would be in my top 10 if not my top 5. I was tempted to just copy and paste his list.
I'd answer these questions differently on any given day. Book: Notes from Underground Film: Henry Fool Album: Blood on the Tracks
Novel - The Stand/ the Gold Coast/the Bourne Identity Film - Casablanca/Apocalypse Now Redux Album - 2112
