I'm only talking about players who are non-franchise players or one of the top two options on their team. So people like Garnett, Kidd, etc. are out of the question.

    Mine are:

    - Kirilenko (he is already borderline to a franchise player, but I'll list him anyway...)
    - Ron Artest (same as Kirilenko)
    - Jaric
    - Chandler
    - Brent Barry

I wish we could get Jaric or Barry somehow without giving up much talent. That could solve a lot of our issues.

Actually...what would you think about this one:

Houston trades: PG Steve Francis (18.1 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 5.1 apg in 38.9 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (3.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.3 minutes)
PG Eddie Griffin (3.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 15.3 minutes)
Houston receives: PF Elton Brand (21.0 ppg, 15.0 rpg, 5.0 apg in 37.0 minutes)
SG Marko Jaric (8.3 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 4.3 apg in 23.8 minutes)
PF Melvin Ely (3.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.8 apg in 16.2 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +11.8 ppg, +13.0 rpg, and +2.6 apg.

L.A. Clippers trades: PF Elton Brand (21.0 ppg, 15.0 rpg, 5.0 apg in 37.0 minutes)
SG Marko Jaric (8.3 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 4.3 apg in 23.8 minutes)
PF Melvin Ely (3.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.8 apg in 16.2 minutes)
L.A. Clippers receives: PG Steve Francis (18.1 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 5.1 apg in 14 games)
PG Moochie Norris (3.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 14 games)
PG Eddie Griffin (3.1 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 14 games)
Change in team outlook: -11.8 ppg, -13.0 rpg, and -2.6 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

There were BYC players involved in this trade, so this trade is subject to the BYC provisions of the CBA. Due to Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Ooo he snuck in a trade.

But I would do that in a heartbeat, as long as Brand stays healthy.

I'd go for Troy Murphy, Zach Randolph, Chris Bosh, Kirk Hinrich and Maciel Lampe, Reece Gaines and/or Manu Ginobili.

    Kurt Thomas
    Jon Barry (Sonics)
    Murphy
    P.J. Brown
    Kenny Thomas :(
    McInnis (sp)

Anyone who would rather pass than take their own shot should be on these lists.

Before we picked him up, Jim Jackson would have been on that list as well.

Brevin Knight, maybe Tinsley. Good passing PG to help the offense flow. Can play alongside francis or mobley.

Does Battier qualify in this subject? I think he's underrated and doesnt get the time he deserves with the Grizz.

I'm a little confused. You say guys who are 1st or second options on their team don't count, but then we're talking about guys like Chandler, Brand, Kirilenko, Randolph, Redd, etc.? So what's the definition again? Not trying to be an a$$, want to respond accurately.

I'm coming a bit from last year when Kirilenko and Artest were not so clear-cut first or second options on their teams. By my definition, I would have had to leave them out now.

Who I definitely meant to leave out are the usual franchise players like Garnett, Brand, Kidd.

One indication you can go by would be non-max players.

    Cool. Lebron, Carmelo, Bosh, Amare...:D

No, seriously, and he may be just below the radar, I start and end with Shawn Marion. He's a stud on D, boards, gets his in the flow of the offense as opposed to being a chucker, etc. Love the guy.

    Other guys, by position;

PG) No joke, a guy I'd take a look at, and love to have as a back-up is Jacque Vaughn. He came in with some super tools, incredible quicness on D, ability to push like few others, and one incredible Achilles heel; shooting. But lately he's been really hitting, and if he starts to hit, he's a guy I'd love to have. Smart as a whip too. Obviously, when healthy, Alvin Williams is a guy I'll take 5 of and go to war with.

SG) Aaron McKie. Could be better if featured more; smart, tough, and plays the game right.

SF) Desmond Mason. Think he'll put it together soon. Already said my top pick.

PF) P.J. Brown is underrated, just does his job. I think Drew Gooden could be a stud in time. Bosh, but I don't think he'll qualify for this for too much longer, but while we're on the subject, as a role player, it doesn't get much better than Jerome Williams.

    C) Everyone knows what Theo Ratliffe brings. Better still, take Jamaal Magloire. EIther one works for me.

Good call on McKie. I like PJ Brown also, except that I think he has a contract that is too expensive for his age - same reason why I wouldn't want Bo Outlaw anymore, although I like his hustle and that he played for U of H. With Brevin Knight, like his game, but would be too concerned about injuries.

One player I forgot that I would really like to see on the Rockets is Nene. That guy has a lot of potential.

This would be a great trade for us. However, think about it like this, Brand is as good as Francis is, so most people would do that trade straight up. Meanwhile they give us two REAL NBA players for two deadweight. I don't think they'd be that dumb.

first of all, Ginoblili is a super star, so he doesn't count.
Duncan, parker, and gino are like the trinity, get this straight

the nonsuperstar people I would like to see on the rox are..
    pg - mike bibby
    sg - brent barry
sf - artest (but he is going to be superstar soon), so my backup pick is ak-47
    pf - boozer
    c - brad miller
