This is the big week of season premieres and series premieres. This would be a good place to talk about what new shows, if any, have made a good first impression on you. Last night I enjoyed Kitchen Confidential and Just Legal. I wanted to watch Surface, but it started at the same time as Arrested Development. I should look up the reviews on that and see if I missed out.
Networks are starting to capitalize on the popularity of Food Network. There are TWO shows that are about a chef this year. Everybody Hates Chris premiers this Thursday...guess I'll be watching it at my sister's house in Round Rock...
"Headcases" is worth a look at 8:00 CST on Fox. Adam Goldberg is hilarious as a neurotic lawyer. There was a great scene in the opener where he's defending a prostitute under the First Ammendment. When the judge berates him, he drops trow to moon the judge. Then whacks the baliff with his briefcase, screams "RUN TAMMY!", and then hauls ass out of the court room with his pants around his ankles. Definitely a show with potential.
I watched Prison Break for the first time last night, looks promising. I've got it on season pass now.
Copycat. Just a plain copycat. Plus, too much cursing. I can't believe they allow shows to say the word "ass". Also, in any show where "Pam" (Tichina Arnold) comes out, you will hear her screaming.
I caught part of surface and Part of Supernatural Supernatural .. . all that is missing is Mulder and Sculley Rocket River
I caught Prison Break for the first time too last night, and I'm hooked. Kitchen Confidential was good too.
After one episode I'm sold on My Name is Earl. With The Office following, I now have my favorite hour of television.
Prison Break is pretty good if you willing to suspend disbelief. Kinda reminds me of 24 in that way. Kitchen Confidential might end up being pretty solid. Though the first episode was decent and it seems like it should improve.
