Alright, I know nobody likes to admit, but everyone on this board at some point or another loved the dude's music (most of us still do).

If you had to pick just ONE, what would be your fav (definitive) Michael Jackson song. Mine is 'Stranger in Moscow". He's had catchier hits, but I don't think anyone has put out a more open, honest song.

Gotta go with "Billie Jean", the song is great and the video was awesome (back when MJ was still a normal human).

    I prefer the Jackson 5.

Even though his last cd didn't do great "Butterfly" wasn't bad and didn't get the airplay it probably deserved.

Smooth Criminal. Still love that song and enjoyed the remake, as well.

"Whatever Happens" is a good rumba.

But I like the Off the Wall Micheal.

Don't Stop Till You Get Enough is great late disco.

The blackstreet billie jean was nice.

"Human Nature", "Dirty Diana", and "Rock With You". 3 of his lower hits (if you can say that about them) are probably my favs.

I'm partial to "Billie Jean" also.

Too many to choose. Couldn't go wrong with anything between 1979-1984. Then he was still able to drop diamonds afterwords like Man In the Mirror, The Way You Make Me Feel, Remember the Time, etc. Picking one would be blasphemy. The man is a mu-si-cal gen-i-ous.

BTW-Remember the Time's video ranks up there with Thriller.

    Damn, Mike. What happened?

    Words to live by

When The World Is On Your Shoulder
Gotta Straighten Up Your Act And Boogie Down
If You Can't Hang With The Feeling
Then There Ain't No Room For You This Part Of Town
'Cause We're The Party People Night And Day
Livin' Crazy That's The Only Way

So Tonight Gotta Leave That Nine To Five Upon The Shelf
    And Just Enjoy Yourself
Groove, Let The Madness In The Music Get To You
Life Ain't So Bad At All
If You Live It Off The Wall
Life Ain't So Bad At All (Live Life Off The Wall)
Live Your Life Off The Wall (Live It Off The Wall)

You Can Shout Out All You Want To
'Cause There Ain't No Sin In Folks All Getting Loud
If You Take The Chance And Do It
Then There Ain't No One Who's Gonna Put You Down
'Cause We're The Party People Night And Day
Livin' Crazy That's The Only Way

So Tonight Gotta Leave That Nine To Five Upon The Shelf
    And Just Enjoy Yourself
C'mon And Groove, And Let The Madness In The Music Get To You
Life Ain't So Bad At All
If You Live It Off The Wall
Life Ain't So Bad At All (Live Life Off The Wall)

Now that's when Mike was Mike

Anything from Off The Wall. A young Michael Jackson + Quincy Jones = Album for the ages.

"Billie Jean" has to be his best song ever.

I also like "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough."

    :)
