Man, you had no fear with some of the bands you namechecked! Zakk Wylde still plays for Ozzy, btw. At least he did for Ozzy's last album and solo tour. I'm a mere drummer, but I've always liked the leads of Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Tony Iommi, Randy Rhodes and Dimebag. Can't believe no one's jocked Dimebag yet!! I always really enjoyed really fast thrash rhythm guitarists like Dave Mustaine and the Slayer guys, too. My favorite guitarist of the last few years has been Fredrik Thorendahl (sp?) of Meshuggah. No one plays rhythm guitar like Meshuggah, and Fred's solos are as fast as Kerry King and as inventive as Tom Morello. Man, no one mentioned Slash yet!
