Anybody have any favorite games they play while drinking? Of course, there is the standard quarters games, but let's hear some new ones.

Lately we have been playing a card game called "President and A$$hole game. It's too detailed to describe here, but the winner of each hand is the president for the next round and gets to tell everyone what to do, and the loser is the a-hole and basically gets dumped on for a round. Believe me, an alcoholic buzz and presidential power are quite a rush to possess at the same time! Anyone else played this game, or other games?

The Glass in a jug of beer game, where you have to tip a bit of your drink in the glass with out sinking the glass in the half full jug, if you go you have to berrel the glass full of drink.

Speed scrabble, where you have to drink while you think of a word.

Any type of card game where you have to drink for losing.

Footy (or othe sport) drinking games, where you have to drink when your player get a possesion, goal , assist, etc

Oh, what do Australians know about drinking? [IMG]

Just kidding, of course, Smeg. [IMG]

Pres and A$$hole is a good one.

I enjoy any of the games tied to movies. (ie StarWars and StarTrek)

Now this is what I call a topic!!

I've played plenty of President's and A$$holes Behad - great game. Here are some others.

    1. Similar to Smeg's, but you sit in a circle and a person starts by saying the name of someone famous Lets say he say Steve Francis. The person on their left must say someone famous, who's name starts with the last letter of of the name given by the othe guy. In this case it would have to start with S, and so on. The circle rotation reverses if someone gives a one word name (Madonna) of a name with same first and second word letters (Sammy Sosa). The catch is, while you are thinking of a name, you have to be drinking. If you can't think of one on reasonable time, you have to drink a whole glass.

    2. Balance a deck of cards on the top of a bottle of beer. Each person must take tuns blowing at cards off the top of the deck. You must get at least one, and whoever blows the last card off has to drink an whole glass.

    3. Centurion. Sounds simple. Isn't. Every one in the game has to drink a medicine cup full of beer every 60 seconds. Cannot go to the restroom. If you get to 100 cups, you are a Centurion.

I could go on but I risk tainting my image as a clean cut professional.

Being Irish I can say that we don't know much about drinking. [IMG]

But two games that come to mind is...

"HI BOB" Anyone remember that old Bob Newhart game. Watching the show, every time someone says "Hi Bob" everyone had to take a drink of their choice. Sounds easy, but you'd be suprised at how many entrances he had.

The second really isn't a drinking game, just a game to pass the time while you are drinking. And I don't even know the name.

Take one layer of a bar napkin and moisten the edges of a (empty) pint glass, seal the napkin to the rim of the glass being careful not to rip the napkin. (Now you have something resembling a drumhead) Now place a coin in the center of the napkin. Oh I forgot to mention this is also a smoking game. Now using a cigarette people take turns burning holes in the napkin without letting the coin drop into the glass. You can burn as little or as big a hole as you dare. Whoever drops the coin has to buy a round for all players.

    Did that make sense?

Hi Bob is a great one.

How about "I never"? It's a great game if you are sitting with a bunch of guys and girls who want to get to know each other better. Basically someone starts by saying "I never _________" such as I never made love in a car, I never had sex with two people in the same day, I never barfed on my best friend, the possibilities are endless. If the other people at the table have done what the "never" statement is, they have to take a drink. Great for finding out how wild the people sitting with you are.

The saddest part is, I've played every game mentioned so far. Hell, I've played strip spin the lighter, because we didn't have anything else to work with. [IMG]

Does it have to be a game about drinking, or does any game that one plays while drunk count? I play pool, softball, and bowl much better when I've had "a few".

what about the flip the cup game?

you get in teams on two sides of a table.. (i.e. 3 peeps on each team) put and fill 6 cups of beer for each person. One end of the table starts by downing the beer, then place their empty plastic cups on the edge of the table and

try to flip it over once so that the bottom of the up is on the table.. the slower team has to drink another round of beer, do a couple of pushups or, if they're female, take off an article of clothing [IMG]

it gets fun when you're buzzed..

I learned "Hi Bob" where players take a drink when anybody says "Bob" and they have to slam down their whole drink when somebody says "Hi Bob."

I'm somewhat "out of the loop" having not been in college in about 7 years, but this "presidents and azzholes" seems to be the consensus favorite.

Why don't some of you give us a breakdown of how you play it (it's okay if some of you play it slightly different--I can pick and choose what sounds the coolest) because I'd like to give it a try.

Any game that involves DRINK while you Think is great.

Coins is also good, that is bounce a coin off the table into a glass.

Number games are good, for example you sit in a circle and count around except you can't say 7 and have say Melbourne Footbal Club instead, if you say seven you drink.

I can't believe no one has mentioned categories!

Basically, someone picks a category, like brands of tennis shoes and everyone has to take turns naming a different brand. The person that can't name one has to drink a beer and pick a new category.

Another one is kings. You use a cup and all cards from the 10 through the Ace. Each card means something.

    10-ahead
    Jack-category(like previous game)
    Queen-behind
King-pour beer into cup, last king drinks cup
Ace-pick someone to drink(their own beer, not from cup)

Put all the cards around the cup and take turns drawing. You can get really trashed really quick with this game.

My all time favorite is President/A$$hole...well aside from strip poker of course.

President and A$$hole is the type of game that is much easier to learn by playing. But I will give you the short version of the rules.

All the cards are dealt (number of cards doesn't matter, nor does it matter if some have more cards than others. This will be straightened out once the pecking order is established, i.e. the a$$hole will always have the most cards.)

The first hand begins with whomever holds the three of clubs (afterwards the president always leads.)

The object of the game is to be the first to get rid of all your cards. Whomever leads will play 1,2,3,or 4 of a kind. The next player must play the same number of cards, only higher than the person before.

Example: Player 1 plays a single 3, player 2 must play a single 4 (or higher), player 3 must player a single card higher than player 2's. However, if player 1 leads with a pair of three's, player two must play a pair of four's or higher, and player 3 must play a pair higher than player 2's. The same goes if a three or four of a kind is led.

2's are wild and beat anything. A single 2 beats any amount of cards (1,2,3,or 4 of a kind)

After all the players at the table have a chance to beat what is led, whoever played the last card(s) (the highest card(s) or a two) gets to lead. If you cannot beat the previous player's card(s), you have to pass. (VERY IMPORTANT: Drink when you pass!!!)

First one to get rid of all his cards is the president, second is the vice-president, third is the govenor, fourth is the mayor, and of course, last one holding a card is the a$$hole.

Once the initial pecking order is established, subsequent games always start with the president. In addition, before each round, the a$$hole must give the president his best card, while receiving the president's worst card. Also, the a$$hole must be sure everyone has a fresh drink, as well as do whatever the president says to do.

Like I said, you must play to get a feel for the game, as well as learn the strategy. One ting to remember is always get rid of your low cards first! Holding a three or four near the end of a game will ensure you of being the a$$hole for that round.

If you try to play and have more questions, email me.

    Thanks Behad

I found this on the net:

Game with a deck of poker cards.
No. of Players It can be played with as many people as you want but must have at least three. I recommend you play with at least teams of four or five, and play on tile or outside cause it gets MESSY. :)
Basic Rules You start with a deck of poker cards and pass them all out.
Then the person with the 3 of clubs starts (put down the 3 of clubs). Then the next person (to the right) has to put a card that is higher than that, or a pair. If you throw the same card that was there (say I played the three of diamonds on top of the three of clubs) then play skips the next person he does not get a turn, (but he does have to drink!) If the player has a higher card and plays it, then play continues to the next person and so on until someone can't beat the previous card and they must "pass"(they also must DRINK!). When everyone around the table has to "pass" then the person who threw the winning card can throw what ever he wants and start over again.

All cards are their value with 3 being the lowest and ace being the highest except for 2 which means you automatically win. The cards are cleared and then you get to start the next round. You keep playing until someone runs out of cards.

This person is now the "President" play continues and the next person who wins is the vice president, and so with a secretary, and whatever. Then the second to the last person is called the "beer b****" and has to get more beer when anyone runs out. The Loser, (last one with cards in his hands) is now the "*******". The ******* has to deal for the next game.

From now on the "President" can make anyone underneath him drink at any time that he wants. The vice president can make anyone he want to drink, and so on down the line. Even the beer b**** can make the ******* drink.

Before starting the game, the ******* has to trade the president his best card. If he gives the president a card and it is dicovered later in the game that he had a better card then he is automatic ******* again. This makes it easier for the President to stay the President. If the president is president two games in a row. (wins two times) he can make a rule. Similar to kinito.

Also after every game you should change chairs so that you are sitting in order around the table from President down to *******.

¿Drinking? This is a fun game, and people get REALLY drunk.
Especially when the president goes on a power trip and starts making everyone drink a lot. By the fourth or fifth game everyone is GONE.

Here's another--needless to say, I want to play

    Presidents and Assholes
Get a bunch of drinking people around a table and a pack of regular playing cards. The mechanics of the game are simple, the political involvement is what gets you.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Game Mechanics
Deal all the cards out. Yes, some people will get more cards than others. The player to the left of the dealer starts. He lays down a card (or cards of equal value). The next person has to play the same number of cards of an equal or higher rank. (last card played was a 5, he has to play a 5 or higher) On the first round only singles can be played, after that doubles, triples, or quadruples can go. If you can't play, you must pass and take a drink. If you don't wish to play you can pass and you must take a drink. If everyone passes and play returns to the last person to lay a card, the board clears and he starts it off again with whatever he wants. If someone plays a deuce (which doesn't have to follow the 'play equal or higher than' rule) the board clears and that person starts off with whatever he wants. If someone matches a card that has been played then next person in rotation is skipped and he must drink.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Political Side
In the first hand, everyone is equal. The first person to go out is the President for the next game. Second person is Vice-President. The last person to go out is the ******* and the next-to-last person to go out is the Sub-*******. Make up titles for the people in between. When the first hand is over, the president chooses her seat (most comfortable, best position, whatever) and everyone sits in descending order from there, putting ******* to her right. It's the *******'s job to gather the cards, suffle, and deal. It's also his job to gather the cards when the pile clears. Anyone can tell anyone of a lower rank to drink for whatever reason. (Drink twice for wearing a red hat. Drink once for letting your cigarette burn down so much. Drink three times for making him drink. Etc.) Obviously, anyone can tell the ******* to drink, usually using his title in the process (Hey, *******, drink for dropping that card). But watch out, ******* this game might very well be the next President, and people do remember things...
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Optional Rules
    Trading:
President gives ******* two cards and ******* gives President his two best cards. Deuces do not count as best. Vice-Pres and the Sub-******* do the same with a single card.
Same as above but President and ******* only trade one card and Vice-President/Sub-******* don't trade any.
President and ******* trade one card. Then the President and VP confer, trading whatever they want. Then VP and the next guy, etc. Trading stops whenever the President says 'stop'.
While the ******* is actually dealing the cards, not shuffling, anyone who tells him to drink must drink and may, at the President's option, be forced to take an extra card.
The President can tell ******* to skip someone in the deal or give someone an extra card. (do not over-use this or it can become ****ed)
The President gets one cheat during the game. This can be playing a 4 and calling it an Ace, or playing a King and a 3 and calling it two kings. Deuces may not be done this way.
Every time you play your cards you must name a _________. This can range from naming a beer to naming a science fiction movie.
If the same person is president 3 (or 4 or 5 etc) times in a row, she can make up a rule. Anything from 'you must drink with your right hand' to 'anytime anyone drinks, ******* must drink' to 'no swearing' to 'you cant say drink drank or drunk'. Anytime anyone breaks this rule, you guessed it, they must drink... I mean partake of the beverage (can't say 'drink', remember?)
Pretty much anything else anyone agrees to.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Comments
Getting a group of people to figure out how to play when noone's ever played before can be quite difficult, but it's not that hard to learn. The game usually has long spans of people making each other drink, either for making someone else drink or because someone else had to drink. This game is very much like Great Dalmuti by Richard Garfield. I don't know which came first, but who cares. If anyone else has any other house rules they play with, mail them to me at slayer@mediacity.com and I'll add them to my list.
