Mine would probably be a Presidente and coke, although if I am not in the mood for anything sweet, I will get a J&B and water. How bout Ya'll? Also if you ever want to go to a really cool couples bar in Houston and impress your girl, take her to Marfreless and get her a Pimm's Cup #1 - their house specialty.
Long Island Ice Tea Second goes to the Toasted Almond But I can sit back and drink Red Stripe all day too
Beer: Bass or Newcastle Drink: 1 shot whiskey, 1 shot amaretto, 1 shot cranberry... called a red snapper
Ugh -- When I was in college, I knew a guy who worked at Marfreless. He was a nice guy, but we were strictly friends (I was seeing someone at the time). So one day he invites me to the bar to show me where he works since I'd never been there before. Well, if you've been there, you know about the little alcove upstairs. It was pitch black and completely deserted. So he takes me up there, sits me down on one of those nasty sofas and absolutely lunges at me! Now whenever I think of Marfreless, I think of having to fend off the bartender who got the wrong idea. Not nice. Oh, and my favorite drink is a screwdriver.
GUINNESS. Had a 2 bottles plus 3 Big Boppers tonight with out eating all day (bad day). I love you all.
What was really scary Mrs. JB, is that when I read your post, I was still in the mindset where I thought that Mrs. JB was just Jeff posting in women's underwear, and here I thought that the bartenders at Marfreless were jumping some poor confused hippie's bones Yeah I know that alcove, many of my victims have fallen prey there. And after seeing your picture I can understand why that immature and ungameful bartender threw himself at you that night... You are a lucky man Jeff, but I don't guess I've got to tell you that
This is an interesting drink, are you a weightlifter. I used to work at Gold's Gym and some of the trainers there used to drink a Morgan's and club soda. They didn't like scotch but they didn't want to put on the extra carbs. I can't imagine the taste of rum and water.... Respek
Spirits - Laphroaig, the older the better, with a dash of spring water. Beer - Bass is reasonable, and I also like Directors Lager - 1664 Wine - Beaujolais Villages
bailey, I am a red wine fan, but am not too familiar with the french wines. You mention the bouegdkjfa;ldkfja;llais, what are some inexpensive french reds that are good?
